It should be at the "G" as the rule is you get a home state final not a home ground final.
But the AFL is famous for being corrupt.
GWS playing at the Sydney showgrounds (Sydney Swans ground) tonight not in Western Sydney.

and Ratten will have to be an absolute wizard if he is to get our team to look even close to the tigers.Bruce G McAbee wrote: ↑Sat 07 Sep 2019 10:28pm Tigers look way better than any other team right now.
Eagles the only ones who could possibly challenge.

By half way through the third it will be game over with the Tigers 50 points up and in cruise control.
Rest of the game will be slow motion doing time for both sides and Tigers will win by 5 to 7 goals.

We need an injection of talent badly.
It’s not about being at their level, it’s about being good enough to play finals. I don't think a few ok players will make much of a difference.

I agree with you about Ratten...but let's not fluff about the truth...we need to be like Richmond.Special wrote: ↑Sun 08 Sep 2019 10:25amThat’s obvious. The Fireman wrote: ↑Sun 08 Sep 2019 10:11amif we were at their level we would be playing finals.Special wrote: ↑Sun 08 Sep 2019 9:23amIt’s not about being at their level, it’s about being good enough to play finals. We don’t need to be at Bitchmond’s level to play finals. We only needed to be at Essendon’s, and we were at the end of the day a fair way off that.
Ratts has canned our fake 9 win season, due to our pathetic percentage. As he said, we scraped in several games and it could easily have been a 6 win season
I love his brutal honesty and lack of fluffing over the truth like good for nothing Chomeister did for years.
I would have gone just to watch Martin.st.byron wrote: ↑Sun 08 Sep 2019 10:41am I went to the game at the Gabba last night. Richmond were really good. Brisbane made lots of errors in the first quarter that belied nerves and they totally blew chances to put significant scoreboard pressure on the Tigers by missing plenty of very gettable shots. Kicking a few of them would certainly have shifted the momentum. The crowd never really got going.
‘‘Twas the first game I’ve been to for some time and I wont be hurrying back. Every single second there wasn’t footy being played there was concert level f****** advertising and blah blah blah fabricated attempts to whip the crowd up. Some 20 something year old woman screaming exhortations to cheer and interviewing people in the crowd with inane questions and a big fake grin all over her mug. Just appalling. The footy was good, everything else F minus. And $11.10 for a cup of chips and a bottle of water, advertised as ‘a deal’. LOL
Yep was great to watch high caliber players. But the total experience was not so great. Totally overrun by in your face concert pitch advertising and manufactured ‘atmosphere’. As a total experience I had a better time last week at the local footy semi final between Palm Beach Currumbin and Surfers Paradise. Love local footy. The Fireman wrote: ↑Sun 08 Sep 2019 10:50amI would have gone just to watch Martin.st.byron wrote: ↑Sun 08 Sep 2019 10:41am I went to the game at the Gabba last night. It is a diff atmosphere at the gabba..diff people etc. not as extreme as in vic.

Can't see that happening. Not even a second of time when the game wasn't on when there wasn't earsplitting ads or 'infomercials' going on.The Fireman wrote: ↑Sun 08 Sep 2019 5:51pm

PS I haven't been to the gabba for about 8 yrs
that was my experience last time at the scgIt's like being constantly assaulted and insulted. Just awful.
It's a shame mate. I'd quite like to go see the Lions and Giants this week to watch the footy, but can't stand all the gumph around the actual game. I suppose there are marketing types sitting in offices dreaming this shyte up, thinking it 'adds' to the experience, when in fact it just ruins it. Even the crowd interviews were along the lines of, "So Mike (10 year old kid), what have you got there?".......Mike says, "my Lachie Neal sign"........Announcer, "Love it Mike, isn't he awesome. You can get yours at the Lions shop at gate 2 for just $7.50." Twas relentless.
