Roo again too far under the ball, takes a rest and an overcooked pass to stanley? falls into his arms. Goal!

Eight goals to us from forward half turnovers.

Pressure has been great.
Again Roo runs to far under the ball. Does it all the time. Slow down Roo!
Perhaps he doesn't realize he can't jump as high as he used to?

Big Mac soars and taps to Jones 25 out. Jones dribbles it home.
126-41

Nice play down the wing till milera marks at a hard angle. Tries his left but misses.
Lovely passing play.
Ball comes back in - McElroy steals milera's mark. Lines up and...goals!

Stupid - milney was salivating at the thought of a few more goals.
Roo marks uncontested - gives to Steven, who misses.
Still shaking my head over the sub - I would've subbed off Joey.
miney is 32 yo.
possibly has a niggle. we are 100 up.
hardly stupid giving him a rest.

Hayes wins a tackle, slips through roo's fingers. Cripps gets a free, Joey slips it to Steven, who tries a adios goal, behind.

Lenny overruns a certain goal. Ballup - suns clear it. Armo pumps it in ball goes out of the pack. Ball out.
Ablett looks absolutely buggered. Joey getting into it now. Geary finds kosi 40 out.
Kosi lines up...goal!

98 point ball game.

Ablett denies us a 100 point win...probably.
Poor by cripps. Probably our worst today.

Nice mark by Stanley. Pumps it in. Roo gone but keeps running. Good stuff but gives away a free. Bj 1-2 with Mac - pumped in - cripps marks before the siren. Not paid? Laughable. Should have been a mark and a fifty.

So it ends 139-47.
Well played saints.

Hard to judge where we are at after today, but plenty of things to be happy about... Can only beat what you're up against, and we did that well...

Next week will be an interesting match for both us and the dogs...

One thing is obvious is the increase in scoring power... Both Milera and Stanley are legitimate forward targets that weren't there last year...

Post game thoughts.
Nick can't sing, but played like a captain today.
Newnes is a player.
Steven great game.
Jones and Blake deserve their spots.
Geary good.
Stanley impressive.
Cripps only got into it when the suns tired badly. Of the young ones he needs to lift the most.
Milera didn't get it enough, but when he did he looked good. Player.
Simpkin looks like Ray - could be a better player
Kosi, Stanley, and Roo look good together.
Joey poor but racked up possies in the last.
Ledger racked up more possies than cripps in a third the time. Looks a better player.
Would've won by 130 if Milne had stayed on, by 200 (according to the commentators) if ablett slept in.

Really?

I'd say it's a fair indication that we're better than the Gold Coast Suns.

Seriously though, I suppose there's better tests coming up in the next fortnight, but at least the mood should be a bit more positive round the forum and hopefully the club.

Desertsaint thanks for your running commentary today, I did not have access to vision of the game. Your after match comments are useful to.

I like Cripps better as the small forward than on ball. Newnes is going to be good, Milera is going to be very good, Simpkin closes so quick he will get better with game time and seemed unlucky at times.

Where was the crowd, I know they don't have supporters but we do. It was so quiet at the dome you could hear the players talking.

All the kids deserve to play about half a dozen or more games straight to get the chance to adjust to the pace and demonstrate their skills.

Don't be fooled by today's performance - we should not be dropping guys like Newnes for guys like Polo.

Where's the love for Armo? Thought he played his best game since Tassie.
