I think Gilbert needs to build his confidence at Sandy. Caught oo many times and made a few mistakes. No comments about his time off as players should be at their best for selection. Experience does not guarantee selection.

Agree. I was mystified when they had a press conference.
Sorry but Sam Gilbert coming back is not a press conference worthy event. Hes just not that good. Roberton is much better and I think Lee deserves a go after playing 6-8 good VFL games in a row down back. Lee's kicking is > Gilbert's.
Gilbert hasnt been good since 2010.

If they kept a stat on being run down from behind Gilbert would be an Afl leader. Has taken over that stat dominance from Raph Clarke.

Anyway we should pick the side on 2015 form. Not 2010 form.

If Membrane is going to play he needs to kick those.

As ex-president Peter Summers said:

Gilbert, Ray and Shenton are really showing their poor decision making and poor skills- a real worry. Can't believe the lack of pressure on opposition ball carriers through the middle.

Agree with all your response. Tom Lee could also provide another forward option if Bruces form does not return. Bruce cold go back if necessary.

Jury still out on Minchington but willing to see him have a few more goes.

7 inside fities for 1 point before Minchi's last point.

Melbourne have one point for 1 inside fifty. Now Howe has a shot at goal.

Kicking skills tripping us up again.

Cant say we deserved it.

What a terrible game of football.

Turnover town.

Feel bad for the Minch. Was put in the tough position of 'one game to play for your career.' Jury still out but Id like to see him get a few more games so we can make an informed assessment. Small fwd is a tough gig.

Great to see us win a game a football, strange that we had so many chances to lose and claim those juicy draft picks, yet the players still won.

Team spirit > draft picks

You can never beat pace in a game like that. Jack has it. We need more of those players.
