Doggies had out:

Wood (Captain)
Dalhaus
Picken
Liberatore
Suckling
Webb
Gowers (21 goals from 17 games)

They also have English who looks very promising as a young Ruckman in the VFL side.

tony74 why are we bombing the ball inside 50 without looking over, and over and over and over and over again??

We would be better off telling the players, right look for a lead-up target and if one doesn't present then don't pull the trigger, don't even allow them to bomb - try this for a few quarters just to snap them out of the current method.

Every commentator in the game knows we do this, and so do all our opponents.

Of course there are always tweaks and exceptions but they are all very similar. There is nothing fundamentally wrong with our game plan. When we play a team whose pressure and commitment is a few percent off we look confident and fluent. When we play a team who apply pressure and run we often hesitate. When we play a team right on top of their game we look totally out classed.
It’s not the game plan, it’s the quality of our players. To execute under extreme pressure. The team is just not up to it.
The honest truth is no coach or coaching panel could turn this team around this year, We’re just not good enough.
Assuming this is correct and I tend to think your probably close to the money why are we in this position then, how have some very talented young players gone backwards?
We have been poor now for several years and don't really have the excuse to say our list is poor. We should have recruited better

It’s simple really - the coach has lost the players. It’s blatantly obvious & for all to see.

The Bulldogs are sitting in 14th.
Lets not pretend they are on the top of their game.
They made us look totally outclassed. They are 14th.
We are a long way off.
