Way too early to know of course but .......... I have a good feeling about these 3.

The ole go into the draft with deep picks and absolutely nail it.

Hard to gauge from the short highlights packages but they all look like they can kick mark and take the game on

Bell took a few nice pack grabs, hit targets and even had a gallop and a few bounces for a big man

Byrnes with a few pack bursts and speed from stoppages and hit targets

Leo weaved through traffic, hit targets and seems to have a low wheel base (might be wrong) which can signal superior agility

Anyway fingers crossed cause it is about time we had a bit of luck

Haven't seen any of them live.

I like the look of Bell, nice mover and a rookie with upside.
Would take 5 years but could be a player.

I spoke to a North recruiter who said Byrnes is a just a great kid who has worked his guts out to get there and has done everything right, also sad he feels there is little upside to him and not a guy who will just blossom in an elite environment as his training levels are almost there already.

Leo looks a beautiful mover and kick but outside players rarely make it unless elite. Will need to get some ball winning skills but gee he looks nice on his highlights.

Recruiters love seeing the 'upside', but how many times does the upside simply not manifest itself? Plenty. Sometimes players can just play and the recruiters miss what's staring them in the face. Hopefully, this will be the case with Byrnes. Most players in the U18s work hard on their fitness these days, so I can't see that there would be too much difference between them in that respect. At least we've go a kid who is highly motivated and professional. Zach Merrett was that kind of player in his draft year and he's done very well (wish we'd grabbed him), and there would be other examples.

Maybe not straight away, but in time. He has the tools, and the ethic, id be surprised if he doesn’t make it.
