Votes v Freo
Some days like last week excellent players miss out on votes ; today it is a real struggle to give votes.
All of these blokes made errors , but I thought they gave us a bit.

1. That back pocket player for Sandy - Noone
*i know Gresh is on the nose on this forum, and he made plenty of errors, but he was one of the few winning it out of the middle and kept working

Re: Votes v Freo
To be honest... for all the criticism, Gresh was the only player that stepped up and tried to win us the game. He set up one goal with fast movement... kicked another and then got pinged trying to make the play kicking it direct and forward when no one else would.George27 wrote: ↑Sat 11 Jul 2020 4:22pm Some days like last week excellent players miss out on votes ; today it is a real struggle to give votes.

Compare him to the moment when Butler was running into an open shot from 30m and tried to pass it
He messes a lot up but I really like him. Just wish he’d kicked that goal in the second.

Re: Votes v Freo
I missed the first quarter
Can't remember seeing anyone vote worthy
I will watch the first quarter at vote on based on that
Maybe that will help erase the last few hours from my memory

Re: Votes v Freo
Have to agree with you. I’m not sure what happened with Freo in that first quarter. They didn’t pressure us at all
Sometimes you get a bit of luck and you find a way to score even though you’re not playing that well. Freo had a couple of blokes off their game and had the injury to one of their better players. The Saints didn’t do anything brilliant.
The tide turned with some shocking umpiring decisions and the Saints players kept fumbling the footy in the second quarter. Kent and Lonie wasted our opportunities i50 and the boys dropped their heads when Maxy missed a couple of gettable shots. Their were too many players off their game after half time for me to think that it wasn’t the early start and the long bus trip
My votes:
3 Gresh
3 Steele
2 Wilkie
2 Membrey
1 Jones
1 Clark

Wilke
Gresh (mainly for having a go in the last quarter)
The rest were just slack downhill skiers who put the cue in rack at quarter time and picked up bruise-free possessions.
