What can you do other than keep playing him?

(And did Members pass to him to help get him a kick? )

You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

No idea what he could do tonight. Get Geary out of there for start.

Game time is crucial for King, there’ll be good times and bad but we just need to keep playing him

If his physique will allow, he needs much more upper body strength. Perhaps we could try drugs like most other clubs have done over the years.

King’s not the problem. It’s hard to look good the way the team played today.

He’ll be fine. What could he do tonight? The ball hardly came in there after half time and we were spanked in virtually every position

A few frees would be nice. Gets nothing from umpires.

Can't build a career on free kicks.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Should have had a rest tonight.
Jono Marsh?

4 games on 16 days...I mean, any other year it would be absolutely ludicrous

If they pay one early the defence change there tactics. The just infringe him if they can’t spoil.

Agree Marsh could have been a better option with the heavier body ..... at least to give King a match off - he looked cooked after the GC game

Stop using him as the long bomb target. Try battle for a while. This should leave him with a one on one and allow him to present as a leading target.

With Ryder out needed another tall up forward to help King. Would have liked to have seen Abbott play.

Needs a rest.
And then let him come back and play the Riewoldt up the ground role while Battle or Membrey stay in the square.

What's happened to his goal kicking? Earlier this season he was a dead-eye dick kick for goal now he can't hit the side of a barn. I know he has only played 11 games but I think he needs a rest. The only thing is we don't have anyone that can play tall forward to come in.

Absolutely spot on the money
We are kicking it in his head asking him to be Riewoldt and drag down screamers in packs ffs - he’s bambi!

Let him lead up and jump - few will match the reach
Use Battle as the other
And agree get Geary out and if there’s no match up for him don’t play Geary ffs Steel has to be made captain next year

Tall and lanky with an as yet underdeveloped body. Playing him every week is probably doing him a disservice.

Moreso as often the gameplan is to kick it high to him hoping not that he will maker it, but to create crumbing opportunities for others. So lots of bash and crash for Max.

Rarely do see him leading out.

Other teams will be closely going through the game video to see how the Cats cut off all our easy shots from within 25m of goal. From 12.1 to 4.10 this week.

He was constantly held and blocked from the contest.

He needs to intimidate the umpires like Pusher Hawkins.
Burst into tears like a baby if they take the ball off you for push with both hands in the back.
Complain bitterly for not getting a free when held.
Exaggerating every infringement by an opponent.

He's the King-in-weighting.
Needs a bit of weight added ... Henry VIII didn't have any problems - but who am I to Tudor him?

If he kicks those two goals, he’s had a decent night.

100% agree that just bombing it on his head isn’t ideal for him personally.

But as a team, it’s working. He rarely gets out marked, always gets it to ground and the smalls feast off him.

Give him some more time and the smalls might not get as many scraps - only because he’ll hold more of the marks.

Definitely should be rested against Hurley, Marsh would be a good match for Hurley, just compete and get the ball to ground.

Reason is the next game we bring him back for Harris Andrews, rested and ready to go

He can’t keep getting smashed by the big defenders every few days
