I think Collingwood without Sidebottom and Howe are a lot more beatable than they were earlier in the season.

We do seem to match up well on the 'Dogs though - they are easier to score against than Collingwood.

3/4 time

15 points in front are the doggies so their season is well and truly on the line.

Looks like a broken cheekbone or something similar. Is that likely to stop someone playing in a final in a fortnights time?

Don't care. So long as we turn up to play, we can beat either.

Could do - no one wants to see players injured but Dogs win Pies lose - no Naughton could be huge

Josh Battle only missed a week with a small fracture but that had some concussion issues as well. So depends on severity.

Sounded like concussion, fractured cheek bone and perhaps eye socket. Healy thought the eye socket would keep him out if that was done too. I have seen it. Wallis has a left shoulder injury too

Cheek bone he'd play. Eye socket he'd struggle. Looks like Mitch Wallis has done something to his shoulder also.

If we play well we can beat either, we could also not turn up and cop flogging.

Let’s hope for the first one!

Definitely prefer to play the Dogs than the Pies.

Collingwood are the type of team we struggle against - organised defensively, great intercept players (Moore & Maynard) and a team that are willing to slow down the tempo and play at their pace.

In a 17 game season our results include:

10 wins
4 losses by a goal or less.
1 15 point loss.

Yep, definite pattern of either winning or just not turning up.

So, so inconsistent.

Bulldogs winning at least means Collingwood can’t play bruise free football on Monday if they want to avoid a trip to Perth in the first week of finals, hope they have a knock down drag out last man standing affair.

Dogs always get a good deal from the umpires but Filth get a marginally better one but would still prefer to play them as the dogs will be a bit slicker than us although we have a better record against the dogs.
In reality maybe only the eagles could trouble any team in the top four

Believe it or not, winning/losing in a close one that you should have won by 7+ goals would be considered ‘not turning up’

You do that vs a good side, and you get results like the cats and pies games.

Pretty straight forward 👍

IMO Pies lose & they are done they won't beat Westcoast at Optus & doubt the Bullies can either so the way things panned out it made our win against GWS so important to take away the possibility we would have to play WCE at home .

Last time I weighed in on this was pre-lims 1997 - was terrified of the Doggies and thought little of Adelaide.

Was rapt with an Adelaide win and thought it was in the bag once Modra went down...

Now I’d prefer not to give fate an opportunity to stick it to me

Rather play Dogs over the Pies. We match up well.
