Lobb and Logue

Looks like these two will be cleared out by Freo to make room for their new ruckman.

What do we think of these guys?

Lobb as a ruck - forward

Logue as a KPD

We could use both or either in theory.

I haven't watched much of Freo so don't know their form.
Should we pursue them?

Logue was a Saints supporter growing up so he qualifies for recruitment.

Lobb would give our list a boost for 2 or 3 years and might be worth a crack in lieu of any better options.

Lobb. No, asking too much and delivers too little. He would only serve to whip up the torch and pitchfork brigade on here and start a thousand similar threads. And ther would be the likely chance of resurrecting Sunny Ernie demanding every off-field official be sacked.

Logue is worthy of consideration. 25 next April, only 193cm but athletic enough to play a key position. Impressed me whenever he went forward this season. A Perth born player though, and WAliens tend to think Moorabbin is the same difference from Perth as the moon.

Do you think we need a replacement for Paddy and also a chop out for Max? If so wouldn't Lobb fill a gap for a few years, I wouldn't bring him in for more than 600K on a 3 year deal though.

Lobb is soft and inconsistent. Logue is awful as a forward and bog average as a defender. He's the same height and weight as Josh Battle. Battle is a better player.

Lobb is going to the Bulldogs, anyway. They are welcome to him

We don't have to look at mediocre players do we. It's hit the drafts and perhaps an A grader if available. Natural improvement is going to kick in as well.

It gives them the option to play Naughton at CHB (which is what he was drafted as) and Lobb can play forward. In reality, with their mids and small forwards - they need two tall guys (one of which is Bruce) to just bring ball to ground - mark/kick/goal is nice to have not need.

That's what I thought too, unless they think Bruce is about to fall of the cliff and Ugle-Hagen is still not up to the task and need a chop out for their N1 forward and ruck for a couple more years.
