Re: Rookie Draft
If list sizes are to remain static for 2023, we have two spots available.
We've lost five senior listed players (Hannebery, Ryder, Kent, Geary, Long) and added five (Phillipou, Van Es, Keeler, Hotton, Cordy).
We've lost two category A rookies (Leinert, Joyce) and added no category A rookies.
We lost one category B rookie (Kyle) and added one category B rookie (McLennan).
I'm not sure if the intention is to promote any or all of Sharman, Wood and Hayes, as all were rookies in 2022. As was Max Heath.

Re: Rookie Draft
Well done. That’s the most definitive explanation of our list that I have seen.Beno88 wrote: ↑Wed 30 Nov 2022 3:49pm If list sizes are to remain static for 2023, we have two spots available.

I wonder if we are going to try a few others to go with Stocker for Training in the preseason.

Re: Rookie Draft
But if there was no one they'd identified at this stage then why not take some more time?

Re: Rookie Draft
Does this mean we are not picking up Stocker?

That's like list space analysis for dummies, very succinct.Beno88 wrote: ↑Wed 30 Nov 2022 3:49pm If list sizes are to remain static for 2023, we have two spots available.

Re: Rookie Draft
Maybe we will use a lower draft pick to make it more challenging.

Re: Rookie Draft
Maybe we are getting Stocker and another desisted player?

Re: Rookie Draft
Or Stocker and a spot for the Mid Season Draft.
Saints looking like a bottom 4 team in 2024.

Re: Rookie Draft
Rookies are classified into two categories: Category A and Category B. Category A rookies are those who have had a traditional Australian rules football development.
Category B rookies are recruited directly rather than drafted, and represent players from non-traditional recruiting backgrounds. Players who may be recruited as Category B rookies include:
International players, who are neither Australian citizens nor residents.
