trade scenario

Post: # 2024762Post older saint »

Was just playing around with things. GC need points for academy players
They say this draft the first 7 (exc the 3 academy kids) are stand outs.

IF Gresham leaves and we get a second rounder based on what has been mentioned re salary (based on current ladder)

In: Pick 5 (1878 PTS)
Out: 12,31,50 (2147 Pts0

we still have a first and second round pick and they gain 269 points.
then add top level talent to the list.

How do we still have a second round pick after giving up pick 31 in that trade?

How do we still have a first if we give up 12?

We get pick 5 in exchange for our first three picks.

This would be a smart move regardless of the Gresham situation imo

Big percentage boost to Freo
Suns lost to Sydney Swans today

Freo smashed West Coast by over 100 points today so they currently sit above the Gold Coast Suns

Pick 4 could be in play now if we are dealing with the Suns...Or..

We lose the next 3 games and finish 12/13th giving us a high 1st Round draft pick

Good thinking
It’s vital we keep our early picks we simply must stockpile more talent
Add a Flanders a Henry and we start to see sone depth
If Dow rumour is true and Blues offered him 2 and we need to offer 3 I’d say no thanks …his disposal isn’t great (looked ok tonight)
Aim for better in the draft than Bytel Dow etc

How do you know you get better in the draft?!

Dow was a Pick 2 in the draft

Bytel was a steal at pick 41

Draft selections aren’t guaranteed

What in life is guaranteed?
Not the point
If draftceas guaranteed we’d have Bont Petracca running round and a flag ….
We don’t
What we DO know is this list is 8-12
Midfield bottom 4

Tef… Dow was awesome last night. He really got the midfield going in the last half. Would love for Saints to poach him.

Have not watched Dow closely - but that seems to be his problem - this week he tears it up - next 3 - Meh
