AFLW vs Ess

I flicked on the telly this arvo and StK were playing AFLW

One thing stood out

Either the umpires were cheating or incompetent

Want us to watch it, and have some interest - fix that

It was diabolical - I reckon 50% of the decisions that were mad were wrong and some of the most obvious missed frees I have ever witnessed

The coaches are actually ruining AFLW

The flooding back and zoning is killing scoring and forwards can’t get a kick! - last quarter was scoreless- why would ANYONE watch that s***!!!

Hold your forwards, give the mids some space and don’t play a team defence like we see in men’s. Allow them to play an 80s or 90s style one on one game with deep forwards and less congestion!

Do NOT squeeze the ground - in fact open it up - if that means losing by more, so be it!!! Least it will be a spectacle worth watching! At the moment it’s over coached and defensively focused- shift the needle to offence or the game will die!!!

I like the way the girls have a crack

Don’t like the standard, the standard of umpiring and the zoning back to stop scoring

1/ you stop the opposing side scoring
2/ you cannot score, No forward line as they are defending the ground

AFLX would have been the perfect format for AFLW. Less players on the ground, richer talent pool, smaller/faster ground. Missed opp.
