Sandy v Giants

Post: # 2051883Post 66Iwasthere »

Kept with the Giants until half time, but well down at 3/4 time. Only positive thing is that Jack Hayes is still standing. Can see why Jones was dropped and Heath poor. Some of the Sandy guys doing ok. Lots of hospital hand passes. Collard has kicked a couple

I only caught the last quarter, didn't realise there was a curtain raiser. Didn't see too much of note.

Hotton kicked a nice goal from just outside 50, Jones seemed to be chasing pretty hard, Dougall seemed to be giving his man too much space and might need another week or two at Sandy to build up match fitness but I note stats wise also took 9 marks.

Forward entry looked just as bad if not worse than the main squad.

He knows how to get the ball and can certainly kick well and get distance.

His goal was a long shot from outside 50 on the run.

Has probably done more to get a chance at senior level than some of those already tried.

I am not sure what his position could be, maybe a wing?

29 disposals for Jones is good accumulation of the ball, if nothing else. I realise he's mistake prone, but he surely can't have been all that bad.

Game high 6 tackles for him too. Doesn't look like a lot of pressure either way.
