I don't think it's such a stupid idea. Could be a bit of a money spinner for the clubs involved.

I am annoyed often by the so-called "blockbuster" status given to Pies v Bombers, and Blues V Tigers. This can occur even if one or both of them is on or near the bottom. The reason is obvious of course; each has won a few Flags at some distant past.
But, if Saints were to win a Flag or two would we be linked with,say, Hawks or Doggies?? NAH !!
