Hi

I've sent out the PMs, but about 11 of the people who I have PMd haven't opened their PMs yet.

So there are probably more to come.

Cheers
Mark

p.s. regarding the 'will they come through with the money?' question... we only have past history to go on. Last year, people did. So we have to trust them at their word.

There is nothing to discuss - every person on last seasons list paid their money in a timely fashion.

Can you just confirm: how many do we need to get the three players covered?

Mr Magic wrote:Please indicate in this thread how many shares (each $15) you would like in the 2009 Player Sponsorship.

Each share ($15) entitles you to 1 raffle ticket in the prize draw.

Prizes that are available to be won are:-

2 x tickets to Season Launch Function
2 x tickets to B&F
2 x Tickets to match Day Experience
1 x Framed Memorabilia

We will have at least 2 (maybe 3) of each of these prizes as we are sponsoring more than 1 player.

The shares are for the combined Sponsorship players, not for 1 or the other.

There is no maximum # of shares you can take, unless we fail to get sufficient pledges to take an extra player. If that scenario eventuates then we may downgrade the total # of shares allocated to multiple share takers.

To take 1 player from the 'Core' group and 1 player from the 'Development' group we need a total of 170 shares.

An extra 'Development' group player will take another 70 shares.

I'll start it off by pledging 6 shares

70 for each development players- which includes all/most new players/ some first year players and rookies etc....

With everton'fc's share we now have 220 confirmed pledges.
For the 3 players we need 240 shares total.

BUT Brooksy_Babe_24 indicated he would take 14 (between him and his sister) provided there was an 'asccomodation' he was seeking. I replied both in this thread and by pm that what he was looking for was no problem but I have not heard back from him?

If you include his 14 shares then we are only 6 shares short for player #3 with still 20 members of the 2008 group yet to respond.

If you don't include his 14 shares then we are 20 shares short atm.

I'd like to wait another week or so to give those who were in last season, but who still haven't responded yet, a chance to once again be part of the Group.
If we oversubscribe we'll need to 'trim' sone posters' allocation so that as many posters as possible are part of teh group.

The Club understands our position and are being accomodating re payment.

saintbrat wrote: maybe a second heading with the players names would be simpler way untill someone has heaps of time to re do the heading- particularly when you look like getting 3 players-

it's a bit like the caps or T's or a Pin- good ideas but it's just the final pulling together.( PS this has been mooted since beginning 2002/2003 :)

if thinking a pin I wonder if just a 'SS' in white with black surround on red background would ba a subtle announcment of being one of the SS crew. :) hows that for totally off topic.
I'd be willing to spend a bit of time on it. I've done plenty of forum banners before and 8 weeks of school holidays gives me plenty of time. All of my decent photoshop stuff is at http://photobucket.com/specky.

Mr. Magic

I will send a second reminder PM to people - just in case they didn't get the first one. But I don't want to pester them, so that will be it from me.

Cheers
Mark

If you include Brooksy_Babe_24's 14 shares then we have actually exceded the required numer (240) for the 3 players.

If we don't include them then we are still 10 short.

BUT there are still 19 members of the 2008 group that we haven't heard from yet. That is approx 30% of the total # of last season's group.

FYI we had 190 shares last season and are already at 230 for next season.

I know it was decided to go a second development-

But if the number stack up would a second core player be an option? it would need to be in place of the development player. ?

just a suggestion.

A damn fine suggestion rather than trimming members contributions [and we all know how much that hurts] - why not go for a little more and pick a core player - like Goose, King or Gardi!

Except that ther are only 'Development Group' players still available according to the Club.

Why not 'shoot for the moon' and try and get a 4th player?
