Heard it on the radio - look embarressing on TV!

Literally gagged in front of the media by a club representitive not to speak further about the Ben Cousins issue.

Who was the blonde girl anyways!!! 8-)

Was not a Club representitive but AFL rep......

possibly acting on info from Club

talking about how he felt about possibly getting Cousins....
was cut short/interview terminated

I haven't seen it but if it's true...that's far worse than NDS making comments one way or another - and let's face it, what could NDS (smart kid) say that would cause any drama?

If you put the players up for the media, you can't gag them mid-sentence. So unprofessional.

No excuse in this day and age.

Supposedly the chick was acting on advice from our Media Manager.

The issue is: Why was Dal talking about it in the first place, was he not aware of the (as it seems) media embargo on BC talk imposed by our club??

To avoid getting the incorrect idea about this, it was not a Saints press conference at which Dal was the Club's spokesperson.

It was a press conference from the AFL to do with 'White Ribbon'.
They had a number of players and Dal was the Saints representative.

At the presser somebody asked him what the players felt about BC possibly coming to the Saints.
It was the first question asked of Dal about BC and yes he could have refused to comment. He chose to speak openly and the AFL media/press girl stepped in to stop any more talk about it.
On SEN they claimed it was under instructions from the Club.

Haven't seen it but if as described very unprofessional .
Don't put a player up if they have not been properly informed before the interview as to what to say.
