Says main reason to do with "long term list management".

Not sure I agree with the Arch, but at least he put his head above the parapet.

Well if it's all about "YOOF" and Long term list management, then why the fork would you even consider Benny in the first place?

I think Archie is spinning his way onto the Tour De France at the moment...

Bah, young youth policy.

Look at Van Reehan or whatever his name was. There were a few actually come to think of it.

Played all of 0 senior games, whats the point sometimes.

I mean, we get Farren Ray but not Cousins?
We might get Carrol but not Cousins?

Right...

so it took them 5 months to find out how old Ben is?
Youth policy my ass.....

There is certainly more to it

I bought a shirt from Target once.
It had a hard tag on it too.

I know how Dal feels.

Once a board walks out it is always unamanious.

exactly right spinner, they aren't going to win many friends giving cookie-cutter, cliched responses.
We get enough of those from the suits in Canberra, how about giving it to us straight???

if it was so unamanious why is it being described as a marathon meeting?

Was it a cop out to say that the boards decision was from a football and list management point of view?

In reality that should have been up to the football department, who by all reports were for Ben being at the club.

Perhaps it was with respect to Ben, or perhaps for fear of being shunned by the media or community for excluding Ben on drug or "dodgy associate" related issues.

Absolute fear in the current financial situation.

If the so called "Global Financial Crisis" hadn't happened, football clubs would be able to manage their player lists without interference from sponsors.

Almost makes me want to see Ben come close to another brownlow next year just to put it up to the corporate idiots.

Have lost a lot of respect for the wild goose chase our corporates have been running the last few months...

they look like headless chickens atm.

He will find it hard to win a brownlow when he wont be playing in the AFL.

Someone should ask Archie, whether picking up Carrol (or even having him train with us is picking youth? or how about Gardiner?

Do you have any respect for Ben Cousins?

and if you do why should he have any respect and the footy club have none?
