The automobile manufacturer signed on as the club's shorts sponsor for the next two years in a deal believed to be worth $300,000."

"The club has also had 2000 members sign up since drafting Cousins on Tuesday."

as far as checking how many the saints have sold since Tuesday-
Current tally
19/12/08- 14, 708
18/12/08 - 13 782
16/12/08 -12,715
that would be around 2,000- just theirs is newsworthy and ours is...... just another club...

Just beat me to it brat...

in fact if you count the 15th it's about 4,000...

And sainteronline if you believe that Nissan has signed because of the BC issue you must still believe in the tooth fairy ...

Deals like that are done over a decent period

And ours signed after BC was signed to Richmond too.

Or one of ours?

Tigers now have someone to follow who knows what he's doing too.

Which team benefits the most? I say the Tigers because the drop from Cousins to Richo/Brown/whoever is far greater than the drop down of Judd to Fev/Whitnall etc.

But if Cousins went to the Blues somehow - Judd would immediately be second in line (ON THE FIELD - where it counts)
Maybe we didn't get him because Roo didn't wanna be #2.

This is getting to be funny...

First, the "youth policy" was a lie coz we we're gonna take Carrol... then when that lost traction... BC would help us take the next step... then it was members... now it's sponsorships.

All I can say is

What next?

SOL, are you basing any extra increase in the respective memberships purely on BC?

Surely not, surely you understand the memberships waiver from year to year anyway.

LOL - nah was never a Tigers member. Gee if I was I would have ripped up my membership by now, dropped a load of s*** on the club's doorstep and spat at the coach...

I roll mine over anually, and I'm tipping the Tigers have a similar/same deal.

Again, are you basing any increase/decrease on the BC issue?

I just caught on the news that the recession will hit harder than first expected... now that Cousins has signed with Richmond...

President Obama has called Wallace and requested to be #1 ticket holder...

And the global warming is now the biggest threat to Cousins career... something to do with the polar caps, and less ice.

sainteronline- the way your defending their possible increase it's almost as if you hope they do get more than us? :P

which is what I find so odd about this whole BC debate- he is ONE 30 yr old player? and as many have said for years- it takes MORE than one player to make a team. and to get a win or two,

no that one player can make a lot of difference

especially since we are now short one Harvey

not that Ben is any Harvey

but I think he would have been a really nice replacement

and according to all drug tests so far

he's off the ice and taking a punt down Richmond

But the Saints and 15 other clubs thought he wasn't a viable option because of "reasons", until the board at Richmond reneged and took him with the last possible pick.

A sign of a board and a club struggling to stick to their guns.

I don't know about " masters of deceit"

probably didn't even make an "informed decision"

or were blinded by "confidential information"

but it seems they did know a good opportunity when confronted with it
