Good choice. Complete and utter project player, but has some fantastic natural assets to work with.

Worth the risk.

Matt Burgan: "Gaertner - gets a gig after being overlooked in two drafts. It's believed the Saints were close to drafting him in the main draft last year."

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

There are rookies being drafted in this rookie draft that should have gone in the national draft, so we get a recycled hawk and a kid from Dandenong (Gaertner) that, if he was any good, would have got drafted in 2007.

May not make it but what the heck.

Lance or James??

There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

He's the type of player that the rookie draft was designed for. Virtually 200cm tall, quick as the wind, great evasiveness. Lacks footy smarts & skills - but hopefully we can help develop that.

How can Brisbane pass on picks and then come back and select players?

Wouldn't they have been their preselected zone picks?

(BF Snoop Dog)

Tom Simpkin (Geelong / 190 / 81)

Vic country rep who is probably a tad short for KP but has terrific closing speed and tends to spoil well in the contest. Presents as a no frills player but has good skills and will leave his man to provide an option. Good be a handy 3rd tall down back.
