ST KILDA
B: Matthew Warnock, Nathan J. Brown, Raphael Clarke
HB: James Frawley, Ted Richards, Clinton Young
C: James McDonald, Brad Sewell, Shane O’Bree
HF: Tim Notting, Drew Petrie, Ryan Crowley
F: Aaron Edwards, Jack Watts, Xavier Clarke
Ruck: Darren Jolly, Chris Judd, Cameron Bruce
Inter: Robert Warnock, Michael Jamison, Jason Blake, Brent Reilly

The traditional St Kilda zone included the Ballarat area (which brought them Tony Lockett and Danny Frawley among others) as well as bayside Melbourne.

Both these areas have provided plenty of football talent and the Saints side looks to be a solid if not spectacular line-up.

East Sandringham is just one junior club but it alone would provide the Saints with Chris Judd, Jack Watts and Ted Richards. Neighbouring side Beaumaris is also a bit of a goldmine with Cameron Bruce, Jason Blake and Leigh Fisher all products of the Sharks.

This side has a decent on-ball brigade and a selection of ruckmen. But there is not a great selection of key defenders. This recruiting year would have been a good one with first-round selections Watts, Tom Lynch, Ty Vickery and Mitch Brown all aligned to the Saints.

Geez I wish zones were still around

We should also still have Schnieder as he's zoned to the swans and they traded him to us.

It works both ways though doesn't it? If this was the case how many of our top players would have been zoned to and at other clubs?
