Would we take Setanta?

Post: # 698412Post perfectionist »

Thought I'd come back with a bang.

If he is sacked by "those who have lost the last ten against poor old St Kilda", would we take him if such a possibility existed? It was a good punch, it was a good kick and it was to a Cloke.

Would the St Kilda list benefit from such a player?

Would the St Kilda club benefit from such a player?

Would the St Kilda saintsational fan forum benefit from such a discussion?

Will it be moved by the anonymous moderators to outer Mongolia?

I might note that in the last 4 months, a sense of calm has descended on this board, all fair and reasonable. But it's time to wake up! It's time to get hyper, to start losing sleep, to slap the Auntie and to get serious. So what about Setanta in the R W & B?

It's your board, it's your say and it's your...

Anyone who punches and kicks a Cloke can't be all bad.

The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

They were AFL umpires so he will face the AFL tribunal despite it being an "All Carlton internal match".

2009 is over for Setanta.

No games means, no match payments.

As for his monthly pay, unless he was eye gouged, squirrelled or racially vilified, Carlton will fine him so much he may as well retire and return to Ireland.

Every now and then any normal human being is going to feel the need to punch a Cloke - and at least Setanta waited until the cameras were rolling, not like the bloke who got Travis over christmas....

I don't think we need him, but i don't think there was enough in it to end this blokes career. It was a bit of a scuffle and Setanta threw one - and it only just connected, then he a gave a quick flick with his boot, probably saying "get up, ya bollocks" or something irish like that!!!!

And I can't wait to hear Timmy Lane's voice again. The again, I blame him for not being able to listen to the morons on the ABC, especially Geraaaarrrd Weakly, who is the least objective commentator I have ever heard on the national broadcaster.

I'd consider him.

He's very busy around christmas time but he may be handy during the season. Reindeer may be an issue.

It's a no brainer.

He should go to Tigerland.
The last resort for low life.

I saw Travis Cloke at Knox City Shopping Centre on Thursday, and I felt no need to punch him

Blues Imploding!

Post: # 698622Post Megamaguire »

I saw 'the incident' as possibly evidence that things are not so rosy or on the same page at carlton. At a more settled club - i'm recalling the Fevola capers of late and will we trade him or keep him as being perhaps connected to the obvious bad blood between setanta and cloke.
I can speculate endlessly but i thought the tension between those two has been poorly handled by the blues and possibly the coach.
The question would St.Kilda draft Setanta would have to mean could he play well under Ross Lyon?
I wouldn't rule it out.

Cloke should never have grabbed him by the hair.
Setanta was probably a bit unlucky to have gone to carlton than a more settled club.

St. Kilda have apparently notched up 10 in a row over our long time nemesis.

Let's go for 12

I'd rather have Goose with a broken leg.
Honestly, has O'Hailpin done anything as a player to suggest he's worth pusuing?
