This is what Archie Fraser had to say about Armo.

David had a solid hit out in Shepparton last week and as you mentioned, kicked a couple of good goals. He’s been hampered a little bit with hamstring soreness in the last few weeks, so we definitely wanted to err on the side of caution and make sure he got through okay. We will manage David carefully because he shows significant promise and will certainly be an asset to the Club and he is on track to be available for round one.
Maybe not round 1 but doesn't sound like he will be too far away.

according to that we should be able to pick a close to full-strength team apart from max.

any chance we will show some daring with the selection and chuck a kid like heyne in at the deep end? or isn't he ready yet?

i've been away for a couple of weeks and haven't been following it that closely.

also, what are goose's chances?

Goose is unlikely. He'll probably start out with Sandy to get some match fitness.

Heyne is extremely unlikely. Steven and Geary would be in front of him and neither of them is guaranteed a start.

Yeah nah pleasing positive

Heyne will debut in '09 but he needs to earn his spot through the VFL..

Why does it seem everyone is convinced Hayes is OUT?

Have saints confirmed it?

Its weird that just because the tool Hutchy said its so, everyone here assumes it is so. He has been spectacularly wrong before, remember Kosi??? The club has not said a word about it.

It always seems there is secrecy around if a player is injured and whether they will play. Who cares if they are. Wouldn't it be reasonable to let the fans and supporters know so they arn't kept in the Limbo. It's eventually going to come out on game day anyway and other clubs are prepared for these situations. Staff involved are always skirting around the issue. What do you guys think. Big Roo was injured and it came out pretty quick. What's with the rest of the players??????

Anybody heard the same?
