He's been brilliant this year.

Having the sort of year we hoped he'd have last year.

The only thing I hate about Gilbert is that he isn't in my dreamteam :(

We are so lucky right now to have an abundance of tall utility talent in Fisher, Goddard, Gilbert, Raph, Roo, Blake etc. these players are so valuble in modern footy.

Gilbert will keep getting better... potential superstar in our midst...

The hunger was what made me love him, he demanded the ball, he really imposed himself upon the game...

I reckon I have never enjoyed handballing as much as tonight.

Gilbo's attacking handballs were a treat!

I just wish he could kick on his right foot - then he would be an out and out gun. Still an extremely good player at the moment with great intensity.

An absolute gun that's just gonna get even better. Gilbo is definitely a valuable part of our defense, and is developing into the player we hoped he would be when he first showed signs.

Absolute gun this year, living up to his promise.

Wait till he gets a shot down forward. No reason why he can't do cameos down there, like BJ did last week.

Same as the post after last week - he is flying and would be leading the B&F with Dal and Joey

Not sure why we would move him down forward when he has been so impressive down back?

Sat in the Freo Cheersquad tonight with a couple mates after I sat at the MW for the first half and you don't appreciate the work he does to get to the right spots unless you watch him from ground level.

Goddard.

Here's an interesting one...

All three are similare players but who is going to be the best by the time their careers are over...

Gilbert, Goddard or S.Fisher?

For mine it will be Goddard but the next two are very hard to split.... Gilbo just has so much potential...

I have seen him kick for goal, he has a long, accurate, penetrating kick. I didn't say to move him down forward all the time. I said I thought it would be good to have him there like BJ was there last week. Switch them round and make the other teams react to us.

Hey, I'm a huge fan of his efforts and agree he works like a trojan, but there's more to offer, I believe.

Time to time put him down to the forward line, chop and change and it will get the opposition wondering

if kosi misses as seems likely we'll be down a key forward.

gilbert spent time there in the pre-season and would be one of several possibilities.
