The only problem with eating Nando's is that their extra hot Peri-Peri sauce just isn't hot enough for something labelled 'extra hot'.

Indeed. I've had hotter - a lot hotter. Try any of the Blair's hot sauces (i.e. Jersey Death) and you'll see what I mean.

I'd happily swap it out for University of Phoenix Stadium. Forget the retractable roof, I want a retractable field.

And it only cost $455 million (US)! Bargain!

Yep, looks good, but geez, a pie must cost $35.80! Retracting an oval field might prove a bit more tricky, but there's an engineering solution to every problem - even if it doesn't work.

Food... did you say food? Where?

One of the reasons we are so fat and un-healthy is that we call sugar coated fat - "food". It is not food. They have big signs around the Dome saying FOOD, I'd like to see Colo or any of his buddies lining up for some sugar coated fat... NOT gonna happen.

We look up to strong healthy footballers who (we hope) would hardly ever eat sugar coated fat. Yet we feed the crap to our kids.
The mind boggles sometimes.

IF... IF.... I could buy a freshly made carrot and apple juice and a salad sandwich, I wouldn't mind paying a premium. However, this kind of real food is not sold to footy plebs.

If you have to buy it, tell the kids what they are eating.... lump of Sugar Coated Fat.
Not sure I have told anyone what to eat. I choose to eat what I want. You can eat what you want. I and my daughter do enough exercise to eat what we want. I choose to eat and drink at the ground and as much as you may hate it many others do as well.

Just a little note...

If you still would like to have some "footy food" on gameday.

Get yourself some hotdogs, bread rolls & all the trimmings.

Cook the dogs at home and put them in a thermos with some of the water.

Works an absolute treat.

Seriously.

Dont spend your hard earned @ docklands...

:D :D
Good one Big Red

We do that sometimes, in fact twice so far this season.
Get a real production line going at 1/4 time.
- someone with tongs to get the dogs out
- someone to hold each bread roll
- someone to apply the sauce and mustard
- and someone to hold them for everybody else till we are finished.
Taste is magnificent.

To the top wrote:The history of Docklands is what it is - initially funded by Westpac and Westpac lending to Stapled Coupon Investors - mostly invested for tax minimisation purposes.

Simply, the builders called for progress payments resulting in calls on the Stapled Debt Investors who, by a complex ruling of the ATO at the time and bankers not doing what bankers should do (in other words they accepted lending proposals under an ATO ruling distancing the borrower - a doctor's wife into whose name the asset securing the lending was transferred including the family home and then had an income from the doctor's income to service the debt - from the investment where the Coupon remained un-encumbered in the hands of the Investor ( a requirement to obtain the tax minimisation result) - and Westpac entered into these arrangements knowing they were framed to reduce tax (which banks should not do) because there was an interest payment on the debt incurred to purchase the Stapled Security (in the doctors wife's name) but no income from the investment into the doctor's name.

The end event was that the Stapled Coupon Investors did their money big time, as did Westpac as the prime lender.

Since then Docklands has passed thru various hands, all laden with debt and an asset where the valuation is at best problamatic and servicing of the debt is also, at best, problamatic - a circumstance which persists and why we see the "cash grab" we continue to see..

Mods - can you please make sure that all posts are written in english

The whole stadium deal is a gigantic rip-off.
We got 27,000 fans to the Freo game and had to write a cheque to Collo for the privilege of playing at his stadium.

27,000 and we couldn't make a profit !!!!!!

Back at Moorabbin 27,000 would have had the ground pretty much full,
and our Treasurer would have had a grin from ear to ear,
With a breakeven point of well under 10,000 and the margin on all the catering it would be a big pay day.

But at Docklands we are PAYING.
The deal is just pathetic.
We can't make a profit on a crowd of 27,000
And we don't get revenue from the catering.

The AFL and the Clubs have been ripped off big time here.

The aim of "vigilante" action like this is to put pressure on Docklands management to renegotiate a fairer deal.
If they don't then let's run their revenue streams down as much as possible and force their hand.

That's how it will help the Saints.

Remember - Do NOT spend ANYTHING - EVER at Collo's Colosseum

As said before the dome dont own food or drink rights so another company suffers. And we have no idea how long that deal is for so that company could suffer for one year or 10 years. I have said all along you can do it but I will not as I like to spend my money on a few beers after the game.

Souvlaki Way outside the ground. Short queues, have never had to wait more than 10 minutes, reasonably priced and nice food.

Oh cmon AOK..isnt a day at the footy about being a bit decadent...albeit a lot less decadent than Moorabbin used to be lol

For the other 20 meals a day I have Im pretty good with what I eat (even if my BMI says differently hehe)..when I'm at the footy I love having a very unhealthy beer and pie..its all part of the experience

Dont recall seeing too many apple and carrot juices in the Animal Enclosure...unless it came in a green can?? 8-)
