Best and Fairest tickets
a sign of the distraction of Saints fans
where last year the few remaining tickets were snapped up by members within 40 minutes of going on sale this year there are tickets remaining to members and general public

Discussion on who some thought may be looking to take home the Barker ....

Can't imagine why
- after such a wonderful season
- and at such a bargain price of only $320 each
Having said that - I'm going

Price is equitable with other clubs holding theirs in similiar venues and that invite members....
the one year they tried to give a wider Price range- the club lost $$$$$ after upheaval in the football department
they are doing their best to make such functions - events on their own so that people/ supporters will go regardless..

Not for the price thats for sure. Pretty boring night and it doesnt help that the players have no interest in being there apart from a couple who might win something and even they get sick of it.saintbrat wrote:ok quick check has found you are correct- I was going on a couple of years ago

I would imagine there will still be a big turnout & that the $320 priced tickets available for purchase would be just cream on the top after all "included in your package/sponsorship" tickets are allocated.
A quick count of the Player Sponsors (2 tiks per sponsorship inc in pkg) has 320 pax attending already.
Don't know about the various coteries 300 Club etc but toss them in + the players, support staff & partners & you would think you'd be up around the 500 mark before any are even released for sale!
All in all if you want to go ante up the $320 ($640 the pair) at season's end or get involved in a player sponsorship which (from memory) started at $1500 this year.
When you break it down the player's sponsorship is a pretty fair price. (especially for the rookies!)

not sure what numbers they are expecting - generally around the 1,000 but variesPLUGGER14 wrote:I would imagine there will still be a big turnout & that the $320 priced tickets available for purchase would be just cream on the top after all "included in your package/sponsorship" tickets are allocated.

I'm glad Mr Magic is in charge of the sponsorship group and not you plug.plugger66 wrote:Not for the price thats for sure. Otherwise I'd probably have to throw my free tix in the bin and find a bridge to jump offÂ
It's a great night to attend, have been to a few myself. Just can't justify finding a spare $320 to go along this year.Dr Spaceman wrote:I'm glad Mr Magic is in charge of the sponsorship group and not you plug.plugger66 wrote:Not for the price thats for sure. Yours are free. That is different to paying $320 a ticket. I am sure you will have fun especially if you drink. I suppose it depends what you expect out of the night.Dr Spaceman wrote:I'm glad Mr Magic is in charge of the sponsorship group and not you plug.plugger66 wrote:Not for the price thats for sure. Perhaps the $320 has been strategically priced as the threshold where it is out of reach for teenage girls with limited material in their dresses, and limited morality?

First plugger posts about it being a boring night with the players being uninterested.
Now you indicate there'll be a lack of scantily clad slappers looking for a good time.
Guess the doc will just have to tuck into the meal and booze!
The drinks are free aren't they?

That was the only way I could afford it!!!! When I look back it was great night (bit wierd) but it hasn't happened again!!

Wonder if AlwaysAway will deliver his right inspirational right Presidential address right in a bullet proff jacket (right)?
