Totally agree.
Need some sort of cover in case McEvoy and/or Kossie suffer injuries. Bit surprised Archer didn't get elevated to the senior list.
Another mature KPP would be handy also.

Gavin Urqhart worth a punt given that North are paying the bulk of his salary?

Not if we pick him up. We take his salary then.

No, that’s wrong. As they delisted him with contract remaining, whoever picks it up will only have to pay him minimum salary with North making up the difference. If we were to grab him in the rookie draft (which I don’t think we will, FWIW), we could pay him just $45k, with North paying the difference. North will pick him back up in no one else does. We did the same with Leigh Fisher, McQualter, etc, although they weren’t on $300k salaries.

When is the wookie draft?
Demetriou's AFL expansion has now moved on to other star systems in our galaxy and Adrian Anderson has announced an AFL Wookie scholarship program. Wookies have great strength, loyalty and agility so are perfect for our game.

here are a few draft hopefuls:

Apparently sheeds was out there last year to conduct interviews

Broc McCauley from Brisbane.
In round 5 against us had 18 disposals and 36 hit outs.
McEvoy had 16 disposals and 16 hit outs.

At 25 years old and 202cm could be worth a rookie spot.

Agree with McCauley.
Good age, build and great backup.

the idea makes sense, but he has played only 3 games for brisbane who weren't that good in 2011 (admittedly behind leuenberger). anyone know why he was delisted?

Brisbane supporters on Bigfooty had mixed reactions to his delisting.
Those for him thought he was worth keeping as a back-up.
Those against thought he was only a tap ruckman, not versatile enough and was too old to develop any further.
Apparently his last half of the season in the two's was pretty ordinary.

Hmm ... I'm starting to go off him.

I believe that one of his best mates is David Armitage. Source: Gavin's dad. However I don't think he would make it into our best 22.

Waiting for VCE results huh.

Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Looks like some clubs have only 3 selections - others up to 9

Someone on BF had posted this link to the PSD, but it also included the Rookie Draft. A quick look and I couldn't find anything on the AFL site....
