A thread for sharing something 'saintly'

Post: # 1276396Post SainterK »

(Credit to MarkintheUSA for this idea)

Got a picture of a pool room adorned with saints stuff?

A favourite old Saints jacket/guernsey?

A saints themed workstation?

Your pet all kitted out in Saints gear?

Stuff along those lines, perhaps we could have a thread for people to upload any pictures...

I'll add something later when I'm home, but does anyone want to kick things off?

Very cute :)

Was it fruit cake or chocolate? Has to be fruitcake, comes with being a saints supporter ;)

Half raspberry-chocolate, half raspberry-white chocolate.

It was entirely my wife's doing. We had a black and white theme (no stripes though!) and she's an Essendon supporter.

EDIT: Yes, that means it was red, white and black inside too. Sort of.

without going off topic too much,
tiles inside all glued today
grouted tomorrow
then they go outside and tile there, then we can get carpet in and start walking stuff down to the kitchen dining etc while they carpet bedrooms and lounges

back on topic
i bought two signed tracksuit tops off ebay years ago
one from the 95 season the other from 97 (think it was the same one they wore in the grannie)
they were signed by a couple of players
ive always wondered if they originally belonged to a poster on here

Thanks for starting this thread, SainterK.

I have collections of cards for decades, with many signatures of Saints champions. Saints posters signed by Plugger, and many more. Signed books - like The Point of It All, signed by lots of our stars. I have so many cool Saints clothes - I've been getting older stuff off ebay, so I have stuff like a 1980s players' bomber jacket, with the big crest on it (and no advertising!). I have a lot of hand-made mementos too. My oddest one WAS a Saints toilet seat cover which had a collage of photos, that my sister in law made. She said "Well, every other thing in your house is St. Kilda, why not that?" I used it for 10 years, until the seat broke. Also have a photo of when I painted my grass with a 10 foot sign "Saints to win" for the 1997 GF. I had two 10 x 10 foot hand made St Kilda flags too. Of course, you can't take those things to the footy any more. Uggh. One day, I hope to be wealthy enough to buy one of the (rare, obviously) signed things from Trevor Barker. I've seen a signed jumper for close to $6000... when I win the Lotto, after I spend it on a lot of other things, I'll get that. My other goal is to get a signed Nicky Winmar thing someday (anything). I wrote to him when he played for us, but never heard back.
He is one of my all time heroes in life. But Lenny is now too, after a season playing with a heart problem.

For me, being overseas, collecting the mementos and memorabillia takes on more importance... I can't go to things, so I just like to get my hands on stuff that's Saintly.
