EVERY other week we seem to play a team on the rebound

Post: # 1357897Post Moods »

This week it's the blues. The media are giving them a caning. Kruezer plays inoffensive football. The output of their small fwds is minimal. They don't tackle nearly enough. I know it shouldn't make a difference, but we need all the help we can get. Just hope we bring back from Perth the same mindset we took into the game over there.

Dont worry , they dont cope with it. Thought both Collingwood and Carlton were under the pump in the media last week. Collingwood handled it better. Carlton are soft and all this pressure would be getting to them.

Motivation should come from within, not what some hack pens in the local rag. If it makes Carlton come out all angry then all the better as it will be another challenge for the baby Saints.

It's good for our development. You have to be able to play it all.

I'd be worrying more about how some of our kids will come up after an intense game on a warm Perth day and a six day break

Kids recover quicker than a 200-250 gamer who has been battered for years and has niggling injuries that reduce pace and second efforts.
Kids are resilient.
If the "kids" apply pressure from the start and see Carlscum panic, that's all the motivation they need to put the boot in and really crush those mongrels like (Visy) cardboard boxes.

"Warm" is relative.
I have relatives in Melb who think it's damn cold over there now.
Wonder how they'd cope on an average November day in any Northern European city.

Carlton are going to get flogged - 10 goal hammering coming up. THEN they will be on the rebound.
