Definitely some potential in this kid. Would be crazy to let him go in the midst of our rebuild.

Champ, (was going to start a thread on him as well Con) Guy's getting better and better each game. IMO is not only going to make it but could be a foundation of our future side. Very impressed with how went about it today and last week, while on serious proven stars of the AFL.

Thumbs up Curren:!:

I'm sure Scott will keep him.

Elevated onto the main list at years end, surely

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Kicked well today.

Zippier than I believed him to be also?

Nice game in terms of balance between being defensively minded and also driving it forward.

Doing as well, if not a bit better, than our other midfielders at the same stage of development.

What's not to like?

A few months ago when he wasn't getting a game, he had plenty of deficiencies to excuse his lack of opportunities... Good to see those have evaporated

Kicking, pace were the main ones and of course that VFL form is irrelevant....

Who the hell would say that last line. i wouldnt take any notice of anyone who says that. Just ignore them BM. They obviously have little knowledge of footy.

BM is one of those forever judges (cool to be critical types, pubs are just full of em), bet he could still pick holes in our side round 19 2009

He's looking more effective at AFL level with each game which is encouraging. What I'm finding interesting is that we seem to be developing a list with virtually all onballers that can play as BOTH inside AND outside players. Jack, Armo, Curren, Minch, Newnes, Saunders etc all are tough enough to win the footy but are also being encouraged to take the game on and break the lines. Gives a lot of flexibility. You shut down the outside players, throw them inside and give the insiders a break. Confusing for opposition.

Saw some really good things from him today that will force the club to put him on the main list for next season. Once his confidence grows, he'll be a valuable replacement after Clinton Jones' retirement. Surprised me with his side-step in tight traffic. Very nice to see, and he can handle the bigger bodies, which is a bonus for a player at the very start of his career. Plays with real energy.

I think he can be more than Clinton Jones.

Very impressed. I couldn't believe his pace and long kicking, would've been a ripper goal.

Wow game from him. He belongs at this level. That break away and shot that missed was fantastic, shame it missed. minchington was looking composed and did well with his defensive work.

Big cross against our selectors. Tom C should have 20 games up by now. Should have had games last season, but should definitely have been promoted a lot earlier than he was.

Sometimes players just need to prove themselves at afl level and their deficiencies disappear. If Ledger got a go I think the same would happen for him. But it's probably too late now.
