Lewis Pierce. Where is he at?

Post: # 1562282Post saintsRrising »

Lewis Pierce. Where do the Sandi watchers think that he is at?

When he first joined us he seemed to show some promise. A very late pick (#75 in 2012) who seems to have disappeared.

Is he showing enough to be kept, or is he one of the group in danger of being culled?

Is he going sideways, getting better, getting worse?

Thoughts?

Not seen much of him myself, however I think that we will have one less ruckman on the books next year (Hickey), and Pierce will be given a further 12 months to prove himself in the VFL. Given our ruck situation, he has had to play a lot in the Development squad.

When the international rookie is playing #1 ruck in the seconds and you as a listed player are in the thirds, the signs aren't good.

That is what I was thinking. Plus he does not seem be filling out.

Anyone also know the rules on hopw long we can keep Holmes before he has to be elevated or delisted?

Might be Holmes for Pierce next year???

With Longer and Hickey ahead of him... I reckon he's got to stall a little bit if they thin he could be good enough

maybe try him as a key back

I think Hickey may want out and could be traded so he will be safe. On form he could go if Hickey stays because he simply wont be able to play enough games at Sandy with all these ruckmen.

Holmes upgraded, Hickey traded, Pierce rookied

On second thought its more likely Pierce is cut and we recruit another ruck in the rookie draft to develop. Holmes will be backed as no.2 ruck and upgraded. I would involve Hickey in a trade for Jake Carlisle pending WADA appeal. Dons could do with him. The Dogs the other team that would be interested in Hickey IMO.

He's is more than likely gone, he's out of contract. White & Pierce are 2 of the more obvious delistings IMO.
Would be surprised if White gets rookied by Melbourne, there's a connection between Roos' son and Spencer.
