Saints Top Ten winning runs against other clibs

Post: # 1567247Post samuraisaint »

Does anybody here have access to records about our top ten winning runs against our rivals? I know there was a long one against the Roys, and one from the 60s against North, and one against the Hawks from the 50s. But we have had a few good ones since and I'd be interested in seeing what they are.

I'd hate to see what our losing runs are against other clubs.

In this downturn phase, we haven't beaten the filth, cats, Tigers, Norf, Eagles; and haven't beaten the Hawks since 2009.

Our current biggest "losing" streak is 7 (because of a certain draw) against Collingwood. We have only been playing Hawthorn once a year since 2008. However, they pale in comparison to our historic losing streaks, the largest of them being 23 against Essendon from 1944 to 1957. Great celebrations in 1958 (Billy Young kicked 7)!

How much fun was that decade against Carlton.

Fev to fullback... G-train ripping him a newie in a matter of minutes.

Happy days.

Surely you mean 2010?

"...If there has been one recurring theme through this whole shocking mess, it has been the misguided, inflated egos and their ill-judged determination to cling to long-standing old boy friendships. The bad advice that has guided the selfish and culpable James Hird has not only punctuated this saga but symbolised it..."
