Arryn Siposs, Tom Simpkin, Daniel Markworth and Spencer White have been advised they have been delisted.

I would try and keep White and Siposs on the list in some capacity either re draft late or rookie list.

The only surprise is the numbers. Unfortunately I expect another one or two. Markworth is the only one we could even slightly rookie but I would rather none. We need to get new players into the club no matter how big the gamble is.

disappointing about spencer was hoping he would get a few more games this year to show what he is capable of as well as sippos

hope the spencer decision doesn't bite us in a few years

I would have thought Saad would be certain to get the chop as well.

I agree. With Sinclair going to the main list it only leaves three spots on the list.
Surely we will take more than that from the draft and/or trade inclusions.
So have we committed to keeping Saad on the rookie list? Hope not.
Is Lee contracted for next year? Might get the chop if Carlisle arrives?
Maybe will will be trading someone out too.

IMHO surprised Saunders has survived at this point in time.....

All the best to the others.......I think many had high hopes for Markworth and White.

There was so much pressure put on spencer by certain media and this fuelled expectation of supporters...........

the buddy comparison would have been an anchor around his neck......

even the headlines of his delisting in media are way over the top..............

"Saints cut next buddy"

Really disappointed we have only delisted 5 so far. That includes Schneids retiring.

Market leaders have dumped 8.

I want to see at least 2 more senior listed players go.

Ray, Saunders, Murdoch, Lee are all options, plus Saad from the rookie list.

Perhaps, but I think it is more a case of either not wanting to, or not being mentally able to, to commit to the rigour of being an elite level athlete. And make no mistake to be good enough to to play AFL these days you have to be dedicated. There is no shame in this as 99.99% of people cannot be that dedicated either.

The days of talent alone let is also not carry anyone.

And yes while there was "The Next Buddy" tag, he was a pick in the twnties and nota single digit pick and so if that pressured him, then that would bea sight that unfortunately that he was not good enough.

He reminds me of another young athleically key position player we took. He too did not work out as he was/ is content to play in the lesser leagues.

I think he would be a good fit for the Suns. Great clubman and role model. Has finals experience as well.

No need to rush. Some might have trade value.

ie Ray could be the steak knives as part of a deal with the Suns.....or even to just upgrade a pick.

If we are to move ahead, tough decisions need to be made. With his great kicking skills, Siposs looked a likely candidate, but never had the desire/intensity to make it happen.

A few more to go yet.
