Sinclair to me. Can't wait for him to develop an AFL body. Gun. Great nephew of a gun too. Love the family links.

Bruce developing into a potential top line forward and Lonie and SInclair showing some promise for the future.

Also Billings showing what he is capable of with a match-winning final quarter against the Bulldogs. Scintillating stuff.

Also that Goddard looks a player.

Optimism!, well though a disappointing end to the year there are so many possibilities - the unexpected- Bruce, Sinclair (looks a little like a young Sam Mitchell type), Goddard; the improvements in ball movement, team structure and buy in from the players; oh heck- its the vibe!

Our win over the doggies
Lonie's goal along the ground against essendon - in fact that whole game against essendon
Mav Weller's outfit on Marngrook... (best dressed player in the AFL)
Bruce's bun
And yes, Goddard and Sinclair both gonna be beauties!

Richo and Draft/ Trade
http://www.saints.com.au/news/2015-09-2 ... -seek-dare
The strategy for the National Draft is similar but not identical to the method used in the trade period, according to Richardson.

In 2013, St Kilda selected three midfielders (Jack Billings, Luke Dunstan and Blake Acres), while last year key forward Paddy McCartin, key defender Hugh Goddard, midfielder Daniel McKenzie and small forward Jack Lonie gave the club a good spread of qualities.

“There is a bit more of a lean, especially with your first pick, to selecting the best player in the National Draft,” Richardson said.

“The trade period is about your needs and the reality is we still need a fair bit at both ends of the ground and in the middle.

Watching a new rookie listed playerJack Sinclair, playing in a practice match at Seaford thinking gees this kid can play. He really looked like he had the composure of a 50-100 game player running through the midfield. He didnt let us down having a great year!

It was the year of the Bruce. Lonie and Sinclair were exciting, smashing Essendon was so enjoyable. Just a much more positive year all round, we actually saw some of the potential turning into output.

Without doubt the highlight would be the Bulldogs win. The towelling of Essendon with that lovely goal from Jack Lonie. The manner in which the boys ground out the win against Melbourne with 20 seconds left! The wins in Queensland were another highlight. Yes, we dipped toward the end, but by God it was a good season all-in-all !

The Defenders
http://www.saints.com.au/news/2015-09-2 ... ers-review

Just a Couple
Hugh Goddard

Hugh had a pleasing first year of footy and I’m excited to see what he can produce over the next few seasons as he matures. He was forced to bide his time in the VFL while other young players debuted around him. He played the last eight senior games of the season, often competing with some of the biggest body’s in the AFL.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Brodie played a variety of roles this year after he recovered from a persistent back complaint. He had a couple of really solid months in the VFL before an opportunity arose in the senior team. His long goal against Sydney before half-time and our first against West Coast from outside 50 stick in the memory. Brodie will benefit from a full pre-season heading into 2016.

who stood out ? #12 every year we think he can't go on, but there he was again and leading the team brilliantly and still doing everything we love and sometimes more. I thought he had a sensational year
which game/s? LOVED beating Essendon by a ton, but for a game where I was more excited and nervous than I have been for years .. the draw gets it
which Play? Jack S in the last minute against Melbourne
mark? has to be the Bruce
Goal? Billings against the dogs
which player for future? Roberton is just starting to find himself as a player
