And after last weekend's round, so, so many players need our help. Whom we choose will depend on our needs, which will be clearer by season’s end. But it's already time to start sifting. Boyd is a million dollar per year boat anchor on the Footscray salary cap.
When their true star young guns come out of contract, they will be deserving of more money, and won’t be happy to take less to accommodate the club’s VFL full forward. So whom do you all prefer?
Nicky Dal’s cuz? (From my sources, I understand that the sadly departed man from the Boundary Hotel barstool loves a family or supporter connection when recruiting.)
What about Roo’s new kiss and make up mate, Jake Stringer? Goal kicking forward, with pace, and who can play mid field?
Who else?
And following last round’s results, it seems that the losing spirit is still ingrained at the Melbourne FC.
(One has to feel for their supporters. Still a good ten weeks, at least, till there’s any decent snow falls.) My leanings would be towards those lost souls who have not been in that toxic environment for too long. So whom do we offer a lifeline to?
Petrucca? Brayshaw? Oliver? Hogan? (Come on Jessie, do you really want to be the one man forward line under Ross Lyon’s flooding game plan?
