Geez we were a crap team. Simon O'Donnell made the right decision to play cricket. Wasn't a very good footballer

thanks for the heads up, have hit the iq for today , it is on at 12.30

great memories, I was more than likely there

Saints played in the reserves GF that year, I think with Breen and Colling playing their last games

Sarau, Burns and Cunningham- doesn't get any better

Might have to check it out. Not a HUGE amount of footage of St Kilda from this era.

I want to see the following year, Pluggers first year. But back in those days it was only channel 7 coverage of the best 3 games out of the 6 played each week. The other 3 games were filmed on handy cams and Barks & Cuz could easily miss mark of the week due to crappy footage. How times have changed! Must've been hard for post match reviews!

The video quality of your standard smartphone is probably better than the handycam jobs from that era

Not just Channel 7. The ABC used to do it. The Winners was the ABC replay

Spot on Terry Smith about the Reserves making the GF in 82. Mark Scott played in both reserves and seniors one day that year ( I think a half or less in the reserves ) , to qualify for the reserves finals. He was playing well and deserved a senior spot, so he did both games ! It sounds ridiculous today, but we were such a Rubbish team in those years that it meant a lot to make a GF even if it was only the Reserves .
