I picked a good week to be given a car park pass.

Any tips on how to get there from the South?

Thanks Sainter Dad. So it looks like straight up Kingsway and left into Dudley St to get on to Wurundjeri way.

I usually go Kingsway to Flinders and then onto Wurundjeri Way - but that is how my Navman says - and I am not going to argue with her!

This weekend - we will be at Harbourtown for Burgers before the game - but thanks - I did not twig that it was that section of road you were talking about

But Run for kids site doesn't- above is map of the course

the herald sun today had a map of open, restricted and closed roads

it does loo like Kings way to Dudley then back to entrance on Wurundjeri way

from the west- Footscray rd to Dudley and back
or Westgate to Montague and left into Wurundjeri way

we usually park near harbou dr and Bourke st- but looks like we will be entering it from the west / Collins st

Parking at the end of collins st may be an option for some, or at new quay of Dudley from Wurundjeri way or Footscray rd- NOT Bolte

Once again retarded scheduling.

If they have to play a game at Jihad on Sunday 4.40 would make more sense.

Are they a bit slow at AFL house?

Does anybody know if the intersection of wurrundjerri way and Collins street will be open as that is the way I drive to the ground?

At the stadium and I rang them and they said Wurundjerri way will be open but I notice it crosses Collins coming from Montague.
Vic Roads didn't seem sure either.

If you go in via Montague St it turns right toward Flinders and then veer/ follow left on to Wurundjerri way and follow along till you get to the open entry-on your left after Collins st and before you get to Dudley st-

Thanks for that I will hope for the best.
It would have been better scheduled later by the AFL.

For those people taking public transport on the Cranbourne, Pakenham & Frankston lines, part of the journey will be by bus. Probably won't be too bad going to the game but will be a nightmare after. Good luck to everyone trying to get there tomorrow.

Let's hope some of those vocal media types get badly stuck in traffic and arc up against the AFL.

MCG games at 3.20 (Carlton Essendon) is fine but poor old St Kilda gets the trash end of the stick.

Imagine if it was a "big" game against "big" clubs tomorrow at 1.10 at Jihad?

I'm wondering if Kingsway will flow OK?

Prob an easier option is to drive and park on the city - much cheaper on weekends if you book online than parking near the
ground and easier traffic wise. Just a bit of a walk in the pleasant 13 degrees and rain!

Despite my excitement about having a car park pass, Mrs Tutti has just reminded me that I don't have a car.

If anyone wants a car park pass for today send me a PM with your email address.

Meanwhile, here's that map of road closures.
