Love to see reports on Freeman and Rice game
Is there anything to read in Goddard named on interchange and not in the regular back six?

I’m going to head to the game today in Box Hill. I’ll try to write a decent match report post match. Can’t wait to watch Freezer play.

Good luck to Freeman. He is a top kid.

Lewis Pearce is playing well in the Frankston game.

3/4 time, 27 touches in a team that's getting thrashed.

I hope this is a joke, I was at the game, and whilst Freeza looked good, he was barely at 3/4 pace and had almost no penetration in his kicking. A lot of his work was in and under but his hands were good.
He will need at least a month of VFL before he will even be close to a look in at senior level

Agree with that.
He is a class player but give him a few weeks before playing him at AFL level.
He is a solid unit now. Has used all his time off with leg injuries to build a big upper body.
If stays injury free will be a very good AFL player.

It seems that Freezer has picked up where he left off last year. AFL.com have called his return game "stunning".

Give him a few weeks of match conditioning and he'll be making his AFL debut.

Well done son!

Freeman has ability to accelerate out of a contest.
It is a strength that made Judd so damaging.
I’m not saying Freeman is going to be half as good as Judd. Just pointing out that his is strength and something we lack at senior level.

Was down at Box Hill today. Left at 3/4.

My thoughts about the game:

Ball movement across half back and moving the ball forward was as poor as AFL level.
Jack Lonie tried but looked frustrated.
Josh Battle probably didn’t have his best day. Would be hard to pick him on today’s form but was still a great target.
Bailey Rice did a few good things... probably deserves a run. Hopefully he can get a chance and take it with both hands.
Hugh Goddard spent time up forward.
A lot of average performances across the ground against a pretty good team...

Nathan Freeman looked an absolute class above. FIngers crossed he can get continuity in his footy because he is exactly what the seniors need.

Sinclair was pretty good in a very poor team performance.
Rice laid some great tackles. Very hard at it.
Longer was putrid
Battle didn’t do a lot. Very similar to Membrey so not sure how we ever play them both.
Austin, Goddard and Clavarino all struggled and were beaten.
Lonie was ok but poor disposal hurts him.
Irish boys only ok but don’t get enough of it.
Phillips was impressive again. Good user and might take Newnes spot very shortly unless Newnes has a good game soon.
Paton and Langlands both quiet.
Not many positives except for Freeman.

Congrats to Freeman. Weeks off and 31 touches. The VFL is a good comp so a great effort. This is probably why he went top 10 originally.

Good I hope if Freeman can get a few solid weeks under his belt that they don’t muck around and just pick him.

Gotta get that debut out of the way. We’ve nothing to lose and neither does he.

I’m excited that with about a dozen or more Saints listed players we still got absolutely pumped in the VFL.

We are on track.

Ok now I'm a bit confused there is a thread on Freeman and apart from some Argy Bargy between posters there are reports saying he tore it up against boxhill
Got on the vfl website he didn't rate ???
http://websites.sportstg.com/round_info ... 2-0&pool=1

Is this not an official tally ?

Can you be more specific who you're talking about?

Would Longer get a call up based on this game?
