Sadly, I must agree with the op. If Dav was a horse you would shoot him.. Sorry to have to say this as I have always been a fan.
Guess we are in rebuilding phase now and there isn't any room for list cloggers.

Yep, big Armo fan but he has lost all agility and is slower than ever.
Weller was aweful.
We are a few men down but we need to get some games into B. White and even give Battle a go ahead of Weller or Armo who both played forward...

That was the worst game Armo has played. Looks overweight and slow. Hoping he improves.

Re: Goodbye Armo and Mav
They both might not survive the season's end list management process I believe. Both got under 10 possies, really not good enough given what they are capable of...or were capable of once upon a time.

Re: Goodbye Armo and Mav
Armo is completely cooked.
Not sure if it is his back or what but he is so slow and cant even bend over to pick up the ball.
Whatever it is - we cant just keep gifting him games based on his reputation from the 2015 season.
As for Mav. Not an AFL standard football player unfortunately.
He had a few good games in 2016 which somehow had some of us fooled for a while but has been picked over and over and over again despite horrendous form so he must have fooled the coach as well.
Savage also not really an AFL player but gets games at the Saints because we are bereft of people in that age category.

Re: Goodbye Armo and Mav
Not sure what about tonight confirmed this as both have been under fire for sometime...
there was a glimmer of hope with Mav since the revelation he was injured last year but Armo has been under fire since his return from injury after that 1/2 year he had since he blitzed it... 2015 I think. Or maybe 2016. The year after it was suggested he be traded to the Tigers.
Mav doesn’t hurt the opposition enough and Armo simply doesn’t play to the standard you expect of a senior mid.
With Ross, Acres and Dunstan in the team in addition to Armo... it’s too much of the same type of thing and sad to say that they’ve all move past David by a long way.
Seems like everyone can see this except Richo

Re: Goodbye Armo and Mav
I can assure you all that under the current regime there will be significant change within the club.
What that change is exactly I don’t know, but it’s 100% reliable source. Lethlean is the driver.

Oh great. Another faux 'ITK' telling us all that things are going to improve and some great leader is going to lead us to salvation. Give me a break.
At least dont post this kind of stuff immediately after a loss.
Roll your eyes all day. Ive had people roll eyes at me for 12 months now. Ive got 'no idea' the faux ITKs said.
And ive been proven right time and time again.
So roll your eyes all day and all night.

Re: Goodbye Armo and Mav
Anyway - Armo obviously has some serious medical issue with his back but is attempting to play through it and the selectors are indulging him.
Just shows the Saints are a retirement village and superannuation top-up club rather than a serious footy club trying to win games.
As long as Gilbo and Armo are getting a nice top up for their bank accounts. That's what matters most right?

Re: Goodbye Armo and Mav
Armo must be either cooked or playing injured.
Either way he was poor again tonight.

Re: Goodbye Armo and Mav
It was alarming to see our selection panel pick him ahead of Dunstan round 1 and 2. Richo later admitted they got that wrong, but jeez, it's not hard to figure out where the future lies and based on the pre season, who would have performed better!

Re: Goodbye Armo and Mav
agreed...
Also alarming that Sinclair was recently dropped... started the season relatively poorly but played a very good game against GWS and is clearly best 22.... and clearly ahead of Armo and Mav in 2018

Re: Goodbye Armo and Mav
Armitage is a Vfl player. Should stay there until the end of the season and retire if not fired - 2019 contract or not.
Mav doesn't have game-winning qualities. Maybe see out his contract and that's it.
Lethlean led recovery... I’ve heard everything so far.
The only 2 players who helped recover were Lenny and Roo. Others were cream on top.
Nothing will happen with the existing list, even if Clarkson starts it coaching it from tomorrow morning.
The recruiting has been diabolical and like 5 blind men trying to figure out wherher the animal in front of them is an elephant.
I’d rather have Lethlean as the CEO, as the current one is more interested in virtue signalling than footy.
But then again... throwing rocks against the sea achieves only so much.
