Bruce in. Battle out. Pressure on Bruce to keep his spot so a good thing.

Whilst I feel sorry for him, Battle did alot right in his games since coming in so the injury isn't a massive hit. Its really about him playing a couple more games this year to set him up for the next year and beyond. He is still only 19 and has plenty of development left in him. A bit of rest will be good for him.

Bruce is a very handy replacement for Battle and a good footballer. Its good we have depth in the big man department. If Bruce was injured, even Marshall or Goddard could play forward. Again, we have decent depth...we just need more kids to come on (which they are starting to) and get in a couple of fast skilled mids.

The way Membrey and Paddy have played since Josh came in shows exactly why we should have been playing 3 key forwards all year. Bruce has to come in to maintain that setup.

HArden up Josh.

Milney played with a broken cheekbone.

Just one of those years when not much goes right. For me Battle and Long are 2 real shining lights that have been dimmed by injuries, however the future looks bright with these two

Don't want to risk the Battle Ax so let him heal up. Josh Bruce will need to play and play well this weekend as he is no longer a guaranteed starter anymore. Nice to have a little depth as well

Arghh! Bloody Hell. I was really looking forward to selections this week and where the Josh Bruce and Josh Battle magnets would land. Bruce now comes straight into the forward line, whereas Richo could have experimented with Bruce up the ground if Battle wasn't injured.

And possibly losing Roberton to injury. Bruce Back, Koby concusssion, Webster abductor, Acres groin, Brown Hammy. Lonie fit as a fiddle. Just cant take a break some years

Bummer.

Richo will be relieved at not having to make a hard call on whether Battle is good enough to keep Bruce out.

It’s a shame. Personally I would have brought Bruce back to replace Brown and Battle would have kept his spot up forward.

I doubt Bruce would have come in as a back when he hasn't played there in years.

Battle will be back in a few weeks.

I saw it happen it was a Philipino coaching assistant. He threw a chair at Battle causing the eye injury.

Better to be crazy than a Philipino basketball coach, player and hangers on.

Why can't we play all four in the forward line?
Battle, Membrey and Bruce are all very mobile.
And Paddy not too nad either.

Thwy would be better than Weller at least

Battle and Membrey have the mobility to run down catch and tackle an opponent.
Bruce is too clumsy.
Paddy could not catch a snail even if someone has stomped on it.

Rotate them thru the bench and up and down the field -
all can roam and alll can play out from the square when required

Keep the opposition defence guessing

Worth a try

Have you thought about how we fit them all in to the same team?

What a bloody nuisance. I absolutely loved Battle's game last Sunday. Will be good to see the other Josh back, should he get the call up. Providing Bruce can find some form, when Battle comes back, I think we could slot Bruce in that backline nicely, particularly if Brown is still injured.

How/when did he get the injury?
