Saints showing interest in out of contract Adelaide winger Paul Seedsman

https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-tr ... f147359ae7
It’s understood the Saints made an initial pitch for the 26-year-old via his manager Adam Ramanauskas some time ago and are monitoring the situation across the border closely.

St Kilda’s wishlist is lengthy, as it also includes Dan Hannebery, Dan Menzel, Jared Polec, Scott Lycett and Andrew Gaff.

Seedsman has enjoyed his best season at Adelaide but is pushing for a four-year contract from the Crows.

The Advertiser recently reported that Seedsman had begun negotiations in May, but, with one week remaining in Adelaide’s season, he is yet to sign and there have been suggestions he could be on the move back to Victoria.

The ex-Magpie led the AFL for metres gained halfway through the season, but injured himself before returning late in the year.

Probably the most sensible and gettable player of the motley crew quoted in the report...bit of cap squeeze at the Crows post Gibbs/McGovern/Sloan/Lynch signings?

Motley crew indeed !!!! desperate yes...big time. The club has a poor reputation Australia wide and this is why even the motley wont look at joining this club until they show signs of major improvement. I think Lethlean thought he could come in and throw money around and A graders would join the club.....he will have to rethink his modus operandi

Maybe our latest recruit is hard at work already and exploiting his SA/Crows network.

A wait and see but it would be unlikely. It would be Seedsmans 3rd club if he did come over to the saints. He would want some good coin and a 4 yr contract if he did move.

Why don't we come to our senses?

Nothing story, we showed interest in an out of contract player who may be tempted to leave but will most likely stay. add his name to Dan Hannebery, Dan Menzel, Jared Polec, Scott Lycett and Andrew Gaff as people we are interested in but wont get.

The interest in Seeders is very real and he is very gettable. Is he a Vic fella or not?

If you actually knew enough to state the first sentence with any true conviction, you would know the answer to your own question.

We have one pick of any value in this draft and we should be keeping it. I wouldn't be letting any of these guys trade out any future picks either. If we can move spare parts for extra picks, we should be using those too.

I don't see how we could add guys like Polec or Seedsman, who aren't free agents, without giving up a decent asset. We shouldn't be adding players in their mid-20s at significant cost. That's not the age range our list is lacking. Neither of those guys are genuine stars. It looks a lot like we're trying to give up the future for an aggressive push at 10th in 2019.

He is quick and a line breaker. Definitely has good skills and could play wing.

I think people within Collingwood used to call him Seedo

He'd be in front of quite a few of our players. Would be a great pick up if we can lure him

I would prefer Seedo over Polec this upcoming trade period.

Seedsman has signed a 3 year extension with Adelaide according to SEN

As ex-president Peter Summers said:
