46 is a round 3 pick, right?

????

Seems very odd unless those 2 picks are required fora player trade.

Though perhaps the club has a batch of players from mid twenties to mid forties they rate pretty equally and so this then gains 2 players rather than one.

Would have thought that 28 was materially lower than the other two picks though.

2x18 = 36. So yes. But maybe our recruiters are mathematically challenged and so thought that they were in fact gaining two second rounders ;)

There are priority picks messing up basic math skills like that ;)

But I think it's still 3rd round and the tweet was erroneous.

Better not be as Amon only deserves a junk time pick.

46 for Amon is reasonable if we get another later pick back.

Surely not, he is 100% de-list material.

Good deal again. There is a clear reason they did it which will no doubt be explained.

No, it has to be explained by the club for the hysterical supporters. I know why they did it. One of two reasons. Let it play out.

You are such a superior individual aren't you. Why not enlighten us lesser beings as to the great wisdom of this move. "Let it play out." LOL. Is this like the " few surprises" you foretold at the beginning of the trade period? Oh that's right, you also said there might not be.
Honestly one of least likeable posters IMO in my time on SS. And there have been a few.

LOL

If you are an employee of St.Kilda... which, you virtually hold yourself out to be.... then I can't even begin to start telling you what I think of you and the PR spiel you have clearly been set the task of undertaking to appease the supporters today...

Some supporters just don't like reason and sound judgement.

Well we do, the problem is that this has been in very short supply with our Coaches, List Management Team and the like in recent years.

Seems on the surface to be insane...

If we are using this to get Amon, we are idiots.

We seem to be the only club that preferences quantity over quality. Where does that get us?

I'm with teddysational on this one.

Pretty good trade at the end of the day… If we want to take 4 players in the draft we now have

4, 36, 46 & 67

instead of

4, 28, 67 & 79

two hits in the 25 - 50 range is better than 28 & 79

Also if we do end up trading pick 4 down, we have a little more currency

4 & 46 for 8 & 13

Would give us 8, 13, 36 & 67 to draft

However if it's to get Amon we're idiots.

FWIW picks 36 & 46 worth 150+ more points than 28 on trade value calculator. Adds to the intrigue, along with the fascination as to what happens to the pick of gold, pick 4. May keep things going until draft night.
