Some of the predictions involve interdependent factors, like ladder finish depends on who is leading goal kicker, I imagine, as well as the performance of the coach. So not in order:
Richo will leave stage left on or around the fifth and eight rounds range depending on whether he achieves closer to his long term losing average, PB average or short term losing average, mitigated by better assistants and draw.

We should improve two spots on disclosed information. Worse is unthinkable and we have shown nothing to suggest a dramatic rise. Two spots is actually optimistic given potential in the sides below us in 2018.

Leading goal kicker has to be one of Paddy, Marshall or Brucey if we are to improve up the ladder.

If Hannebury isn't best new recruit new recruiting team will take a big credibility hit unless one of the new men from the lesser leagues becomes a revelation. Possible?

Rising star - we haven't been able to produce one and I don't know enough about the other clubs. For the sake of a pick, someone from the Lions who is eligible, throw dart at that list.

Brownlow: Lauchie Neal. Will dedicate it to Rossy. Fyfe will again be ineligible due to rough play.

Games from ex-players; literally none if you are a smartarsed one eyed Sainter. Possibly of more interest is how many another four or five get e.g. Newnes, Savage, Sinclair, Armo and Lewis. I hope at least two are regulars and play well.

Because we need it, our top 5 B&F should include a ruckman, a big forward, Jack Steven, Hannebury and Carslisle.

Final ladder in 2019 will mirror 2018 (but with the slight distortions like you get from the ones' in side show alley). Geelong and Hawthorn may drop out of the eight as well as Sydney if Buddy is cooked. Doggies and Freo might drop down the ladder, Lions might make a quantum leap up. Port and Crows may move into eight. But be not downcast, in 2020 the prophesies of the multi year plan will come to pass. We have been promised that.

We lost close to a thousand games of experience this year with retirements and season-ending injuries occurring early in the season. We also had the toughest possible fixture under our current circumstances. No way could we possibly have that sort of luck again. Problem is, none of our retirees is coming back, and we are only hoping at this stage that those injured for most of last season will be able to regain their best-exposed form in 2019.
Of real concern to me is that the club must now rely on the hope that guys like Billings and McCartin show something exceptional this season or we will be in big trouble. If nothing else both of those players must start taking their chances in front of goal.
We should win 8-9 matches, but at trade time the club has to get ruthless when targeting players we need.

On the other teams; Geelong has nine home games at Kardinia Park, playing sides like us there, and a fantastic midfield - no way will they miss finals.
Hawthorn will improve next year. They're recruited well, play most of their matches in Launceston and the MCG where they rarely lose, and play teams like us at Docklands where they are favourites too (with good reason). Add to this the fact that their younger players have repaid the faith the Hawks placed in them.
The Swans will be right up there again too - it comes down to their younger players developing properly in a system with star players around them who take the heat while the side is winning, and develop winning habits consistently.

I agree that Port and the Crows could move back into the eight this year.
Frankly, I cannot see us beating any of the aforementioned teams in 2019 the way we play, which includes our poor transition into the forward line, spraying kicks, long bombs to one on three marking contests, and our inability to kick straight. We just don't play the percentages, and on top of that is the fact that the club delisted soft targets. Most of the players who have left hardly played a game in 2019, which leaves us with the players who did, and with whom we only won 4 games.

But here goes:
Top 5 B&F
Carlisle
Steven
Gresham
Ross
Coffield

Leading Goal Kicker:
Membrey

Rising Star
Max King

Best new Saints Recruit:
Hannebury

Our Ladder Position:
12th (8-9 wins)

Saints Predicted finish - 15 (this is not doom and gloom despite the sad finish I believe we will have plenty to like in the youth development and see a shift in the forward line towards production in Mark's and goal over behinds, the mid is the big worry with our defense, let's be clearly as honest as the stats reveal- we were in the bottom four in forwards, mids, and defense; so upward at least in development and passionate play producing the team spirit once again, even if not climbing on the ladder will be a consulation).

Final Ladder -
Richmond (-)
Melbourne (-)
Collingwood (-)
West Coast (+1)
Essendon (+3)
GWS (-2)
Adelaide (-)
Geelong (-2)
Sydney (-)
Hawthorn (+1)
Port Adelaide (-1)
Carlton (+5)
Western Bulldogs (+1)
Brisbane (-2)
North Melbourne (-2)
Fremantle (-1)
St Kilda (-1)
Gold Coast (-)

Saints top 5 B&F -
1. Ross
2. Stevens
3. Gresham
4. Steele
5. Billings

Leading saints goal kicker - Gresham

Best new saints recruit - Not much here honestly as rookies are looking good but need development, so play ready - I will say Kent not: Hannebury who will play rounds 1-5, looks the business
(hamstring injury) return round 16 to decent impact.

Brownlow winner - Patrick Cripps

Rising Star - Will Setterfield

How many senior games will these recent ex saints play in 2019?
Hickey - 12
Mav - 9
Hugh - 0
Minch- 8

Richo will ride out the season to be replaced by Ratten in 2020.

I ADD:

Most improved under 21: Clark

Most Improved over 21: Billings

Biggest Disappointment: Robertons drop in effectiveness will sting in 2019 but Hannebury's injury will be gutting.

Biggest Surprise: Lonie plays with heart and develops nicely
