Evidently similar to what Howe had earlier this year.

Fairly serious to be cut open to relieve pressure. I wish him a speedy recovery without complications.

The added bonus of how we are playing means someone will come in and fill the void as Paton did last week. An opportunity for Hind if not McKenzie returns unless they want Coffield or Clark.

Bummer. Hope he makes a quick recovery. We’ll miss him.

But crisis creates opportunity. I presume Seb will step in as captain

I understand that he will play on one leg until the effects of the operation heal.

It appears that Howe only missed a week of training after the op so fingers crossed that Gears comes good quickly. He’s building respect (like many others) across the league. We need his toughness

Playing some of his best footy of his career. Mainly because he is being played in his proper position and we have a defensive system in place that’s working.

?? Do you mean Bruce?
What's wrong with him?
He'd be even more difficult to replace than Geary

Who goes to Eddie Betts? We need a fast lock down guy.
If Bruce can't come up, does Battle go fwd (his natural position) and we bring in Marsh (who was emergency)?

He doesn't have the charisma of our previous captain.
But Gears is courage and endurance personified.
He sets a cracking example of the intensity and commitment required to be successful.

Will be a big loss especially this week against baggy shorts.
Get well soon.

Bruce.

He was getting some work done to his leg by the physio during the last.

I'm thinking Marshall up forward and Longer to ruck. Would prefer Billy get a few more VFL games under his belt though.

Dear God NO!!!

Longer gives us nothing around the ground. He can tap the ball and that is where it ends. Bring in Longer and we are effectively one player short around the ground.

Time for Stonecold to step up for the team.

Trust me, Compartment syndrome sucks. However on a positive note, once they've removed enough fluid, the surgical site has repaired, and he's regained fitness there's no lasting effects or chances of it reoccurring.

During rehab my Physio said that the length of rehab depends on the amount of pain you can handle & inflict on yourself when trying to regain R.O.M. I missed 3 weeks.
