Now that Geary is out...
Who should our captain be? I don't think Seb Ross has shown in his time that he's the right choice to lead in Geary's absence. So instead of Ross, I would prefer the mantle go to someone like Membrey instead as we need to freshen things up abit. Outside of that, I can't really think of anyone else who would deserve the right/has the capacity to skipper our team unfortunately.

Yes, although he should be doing so from an HF/HB flankCURLY wrote: ↑Mon 03 Jun 2019 1:03pmSeb Ross is and should be.outside66 wrote: ↑Mon 03 Jun 2019 12:56pm Who should our captain be? They will get it. End of story.

Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.

I'd get around Steele as our stand-in Captain. Certainly would lead by example.

Yep. Could be a much better forum otherwise. It's a toxic environment that luckily doesn't get anywhere into ST KFC.saynta wrote: ↑Mon 03 Jun 2019 2:55pmAppears that way mate. Re: Now that Geary is out...
Seb till season's end. My guess - new coach will make Hannebury captain (assuming he's fit to play!) if that coach is an outsider.
I think Lenny or Harves would make a different choice.

Just give it to Hanners after the bye. Should be in the leadership group anyway.

Unfortunately our list is devoid of young leaders banging the door down.
All posters are equal, but some posters are more equal than others.

Re: Now that Geary is out...
Whether I agree or not, Seb Ross is our vice captain, and I'll expect he will be the acting captain in geary's absence.
My choice is Jack Billings, I believe he is an astute student of the game and he has good communication skills.
Luke Dunstan was earmarked as a future leader early in his career, and he demonstrates on field courage and leadership. Intuition tells me that Luke would thrive and mature into a strong leader under an alternate coach.

Re: Now that Geary is out...
It could be argued that this is the perfect timing to reintroduce the rotating weekly captain route that we adopted years ago when either Lenny or Hamil missed a chunk of season..
Expose some of these guys to the position and some responsibility..
