I agree with you, there were times when quick movement & taking the game on could have produced scores.
Some feeble piss weak footy at times.
Maybe lack of confidence or fear of stuffing up.
But aggressive footy is what we want !! even if we end up losing the footy, turning the ball over.

In fairness, trading out Hickey wasn't the problem... he's not up to it.

We had a much better structure for most of the game.
If we’d just bombed away as usual, we’d have gone down by ten goals!

I think we were genuinely trying to play within our limits by slowing it all down. We were trying not to be all energy because we don’t have the skills and would turn it over. But we just didn’t have options and when we did we seemed to be blind.

They at least attempted to go forward with some purpose today but lacked class - ironically once we got to half way we almost needed individual brilliance/miracle to score.

It’s hard to switch to that style when manic run it forward at all costs is all you’ve been doing....

It was a good start but it was only 7 scoring shots. We lost the i50 count by 8 in the first half.
Lost the contested possessions and tackles too.
We were accurate.
We had two really good 5-10 minute patches.
Our pressure was good but, as we always do, we give the ball back to the opposition too easily.
We move the ball too slowly and hardly ever through the corridor. We end up being pinned into the boundary line and are too predictable.

There has to be an announcement from the club tomorrow! Ratten must be appointed caretaker coach and let's see what he can do.

If any of you think that changing the coach will fix our club you are kidding yourself.
Even though he must be moved on, the club has a lot more serious issues than just the coach.
It needs a total overhaul, a complete rebuild from top to bottom.
It is kind of like that Seinfeld episode where George did the opposite of what he would normally do.
