One of the worst umpiring displays I have ever seen

Post: # 1815737Post tedtheodorelogan2018 »

Absolute disgrace. It mainly came from 1 ump. If she ever umpires at AFL level again then there is something corrupt in the AFL umpiring ranks. She doesn't even have a correct feel and understanding for the game. One of the other umps even overturned her s*** decision but she didn't listen to him. She made some absolute shocking decisions.

Great to see Hanna's and Steven out there together anyway. What guns. Great win Saints. Ratta must be a big chance for the senior coach role.

Whether up or down, the side fights its guts out. It has for most games this year.

Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.

They were incompetent <edited by mods>
Obviously under instructions to get the bastard love child interstate parasites into the finals.
At best they were cheats.

At least we had the last laugh.

Funny how the match reports I've just read on the game don't even mention the umpiring....considering it was the WORST umpiring EVER.

Maybe a little bit of emotion caused someone to exaggerate Ted? Footy's a passionate game, that's for sure

No. The fox commentators made repeated references to the poor umpiring decisions most of which happened affter half time.

Exactly. I was there and she is a f****** pathetic excuse for an umpire. And I hate them equally putting gender aside.

I think Moods is either having a lend, didn’t watch the game, or is trolling. Take your pick saynta!

Gerard was getting the running sheet ready for ‘On The Couch’ tomorrow night he had that much material.

I think we're going to have a rare occasion when everyone is in furious agreement with Teddy.

Thought the umpires were mediocre, but well short of the 'worst I've even seen'.

There were plenty of 'line ball' decisions that didn't go our way, but only 3 or 4 real howlers.

Oh, okay, then 15,000 odd supporters who were apparently lived and booed the house down , were over reacting and booing the maggots off the ground, totally unwarranted.

i thought we were collingwood, so constant was eddie's angst at the terrible umpiring, and most against us in the last half.

This is such a bulls*** thread ... although - the umpires arguing over the worst decision was very funny!
I thought - s*** they are getting a few frees sometime early in the last quarter - but checked the stats and we were 17 to 10 up!!!!
They did the classic evener-uppers - and had zero impact on the game IMHO!
The fact that people on here are complaining when the final difference was 18 - 16 our way, and people blame the female umpire, just makes me cringe!! We should have kicked better and made more of our earlier opportunities!
I have seen umpiring differences of 10 - 30 against us - thread is absurd!!!

This is a team game and there is no room for individuals who think they are above walking through the fire.

what's with selective push in the back calls?
week in week out they dont call it, then lo and behold they do

or throws
or dropping the ball / incorrect disposal

the whole gamete of befuddling discretion was on display today

the holding the ball call that goes the other way for a too high tackle

I only got to watch the first half (hopefully I can catch replay) and the umpiring until then had been perfectly fine.

We won the free kick count 18-16, so I can’t really comment on the quality, but for now I’m just going to assume the usual whingers are just having their usual whinge! ;)

We got an abysmal run from the umpires today. Absolutely killed us.

Felt like all the 50-50s went against us; that holding-the-ball spin was as clear as they come.

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

No not really. Watch the second half first then you can comment from a position of being in possession of all the data and not from your usual position of ignorance.

15,000 fans at the dome wouldn't agree with your current position.

No doubt it wasn’t as bad in the first half. Second half was disgraceful. It’s about more than just the numbers - she’s just not up to it. Anyone who denies this is pushing an agenda.

Exactly. She is a VFL standard ump. Even when she made a decision it was hard to tell what was happening. She had nil voice and barely any signal movement as to what the free was for.
