I bet if you ask any opposition coach which player from our team they would want to miss the most, it would be Nick. He is just so hard to match up on and curb his influence, let alone stop him. Ominous signs indeed.

I don't want to turn this thread into who is better/most important, but jeez it's hard to seperate them. They all bring something that no one else in the team does.

very good news, you can't simulate match game conditions in training, or that sort of game conditioning/fitness. Be interesting to see who plays, I assume Sandy, but most of those boys will be a few weeks out of training beside the reserves if they win this week.

While it is pretty average, it's certainly not as easy as it looks. Plus the way the ...

Re: McQualter

Maybe a different role for him. Small defender? A battering ram in and under mid like Luke Ball? Pure defensive run with tagger? Not such a silly idea. Mini was so effective last year, because the other players in the forward line were the one's scoring. He averaged a goal a game, some assists and ...

I don't mind Gilbert sticking it out in defence. He is getting beaten lately, but he HAS to learn. It might hurt us short term, but Gilbo is still developing and needs to learn how to handle adversity.

. Runners ARE allowed inside 50 when a player is having a shot at goal. It is only on kicking out after a behind is it illegal. I'm a runner, and this was my understanding of the Rule. Generally I don't deliver a message deep on the forward line when a shot on goal occurs, because you need to get o...

While you have a point Borderbarry. That mark on the goal sqaure was more Mcevoy's fault. Look at every shot on goal, we get a ruckman on the line in the goalsquare for every shot (you'd be surprised how many teams don't). Big Mac didn't effect the contest, and you can see all the defenders turn aro...
