From yesterday's Age Johnson has missed just six matches on his way to 300 — he was dropped twice in 1995, his second senior season, suspended for two matches in 2000 and missed games through injury in 2004 and 2007, but said he still looked to St Kilda champion Robert Harvey as a role model. &quo...

And now I wait for Mischa's illuminated contribution.

At the same time last year how many people were willing to predict Geelong would win a flag by 100+ points?

It's there for the doing. Prepare well, have talent and you're a chance. We have talent, our preparation is better than I've seen and, ergo, we are a chance.

Oh, and by the way, having a belly full of grog once a week ain't as sad as spending one's entire day, after day, after day, bitchin' on a footy supporter website.

If that's the lot, a drink sounds positively enticing.

Nah, I just watched last Satdee, whizzkid. Ya dabble around, pot the folks who are pro, like some sorta super sage. I reckon ya talk, and write, crap. Ya never commit, ya hang about like some sorta tabloid spank bag. See, I don't need to seek your verification as to whether Luke Ball's on the improv...

Oh, Lonny Fella, you oughta hear about his time in the 'bool (Hampden League)? Fair dinkum straighten your curly ones. So many lessons in local immolation. The future can't be last century.

We're still on page 3, so I'll offer this - Grant Thomas couldn't coach a pig to be dirty (thanks Tony) and Ross Lyon can coach AFL footballers to play as a superior unit. To the active critics of Ross the Boss - F*** you, and I look forward to you chowin' down on the H pie as the year progresses. I...

Isn't it a joy to read plugger66 playing the glass half full fella, yet again. Ball, just, eh? Well we wait with pregnant joy. Alternate to p66 (how old was plugger in 66?), I liked the way the Bally performed last Satdee - he was in, he was active and he never seemed to me to be troubled. I reckon ...

Has anybody actually twigged to the concept of "stuffing your own players"? No? Well GT had it mastered. This club was riddled with players who went into seasons without any base. GT's head down, ass up style is so out of touch. I mean, it's fine to watch X crash into massive men all the t...

I don't think he is in our best 22 (not sure who "ne1" is, though).

But, he sets a tone for us. Selfless, courageous, durable. He ain't the best, but he is admirable.

A grand man. Honest, loyal, dedicated and fair dinkum. A lot to be admired. Lockett was a footballing genius, but a sad sack. Loewe was a fine footballer, and a terrific fella. It's a better combination.

Mind you, Plugger would be an outside chance to get a 20/20 contract in India.

All supporters will come to understand, with time and performance, just what a lightweight Grant Thomas was. There is an accelerating belief at Moorabbin, including the players, that the Thomas years were an indulgence of little more than an ego. Potentially great players who never played without pa...

Great Management

This is a heartfelt note on how I rate Archie Fraser and Ross Lyon. At last, AT LAST, we have 2 men at the helm of this joint who are talented and focussed on only one thing. They have their egos in check, understand the pillars that deliver success, love their jobs and the people they work with, an...

The only thing the crazed misogynist has remaining in his favour is the acknowledgement that the great Rob Harvey is the best midfielder he ever saw.

This whole thing is simple, and emphasised by a number of elements that have had me burning for days; 1. Grant Thomas potted, or supported the bagging of, Banger on the basis that he had coached him for more than anyone else. Huh? If Ross Lyon spent so much time at the end of '07 to have Rob go arou...
