From what I hear from a recruiter at one of the big 2 Melb based clubs, Wright is the clear standout.
He may be 203cm but moves like someone Roo's height. Booming kick too.
I reckon we'll trade Stanley, take Wright & then hopefully take Ryan Bolton from SA next year (195cm athletic KF).

Probably a good year to win the spoon with a certain other club copping 99% of negative attention.
Peter Wright tore up the SA team yesterday so all is not lost.

Re: emma quale on the draft
With no standout number 1 pick it also sounds to me that the number 1 pick we will end up with is just going to be an average AFL player and not 'the next 'Nick Reiwoldt' - which is one of the risks when you go down this path. We were lucky last time around that we snagged Nick & BJ with our nu...

He could have gone to Gold Coast 3 years ago on massive $$$.
Roo was loyal. Joey is loyal. Dal wanted to be loyal until it passed the point of no return. BJ wanted to be loyal on his terms- 700Kpa

Re: 2014 List Management - Draft & Trade Discussion
I don't think Lucas ticks the most important two boxes that we have; Can win his own ball & kick the ball at an elite level. Lucas needs to be given the pill then sprays it too often. Masten is a pretty important part of WC's midfield... a 3rd round pick won't get him (& I wouldn't give up a...

Can we please wait until we have finished the rebuild & are on our way up the ladder before we start talking about draft lotteries?
Just our luck we'll finish last in 2015 & end up with pick 5 if a lottery came in.

I thought Seb was very good early... I'm going to disagree with the majority here & say that Seb will make it & become a very good player.
I hope he stays in the side for the rest of the year now & makes a few armchair experts eat their hats.

Don't underestimate the relationship that Trout & Ameet have built with young players that were drafted by other clubs. During their interviews with prospective draftees both guys have apparently been super impressive & left many players with a feeling that they would be very happy being dra...

At this stage we're looking very likely to finish bottom 3 again so will be in the mix re: exchanging early picks, players, PSD.

You're spot on Trav. Whether there's 10,000 knuckleheads or just 1, their carry on is ridiculous. Strap yourself in for a few hard years & enjoy the glimpses of brilliance from the kids & the occasional win against the odds. Getting stressed over footy at present is a ticket to an early grav...

Sam Fisher is/was pretty A Grade too. I always love a bit of retrospective recruiting. Not really sure that the performance of either Frost Brother has demanding a 'why didn't we draft them????' tirade. What does 'maintain our integrity' in the main draft mean? Do you mean have further picks? That w...

Jacobs always destroyed McEvoy too. He's a very underrated ruckman who has the miles in the legs that Billy hasn't as yet.

Can we just make one thing clear...any move to the JC has nothing to do with supporters watching training! It would be purely a strategic decision regarding keeping & attracting players & commercial opportunities. I hope its true that Foxy is involved....I posted a while ago that St Kilda n...

I have been banging on about this for every since the move from Moorabbin was mooted... this is the best news for the club in the 30+ years I have been following it. Wow....just wow! Harry Trott is just across the road & is already a pretty decent sized oval. I wouldn't think that it will take t...

Gilbo is the new whipping boy & it's an absolute disgrace. Last week he was fantastic & his disposals were almost faultless (except for one OOB IIRC). Saturday he took apart the best young forward in the league & kept him to 1 goal. While he did turn the ball over a few times, it was alm...
