With Lloyd's goal, I didn't realise drop-kicks had been outlawed. Deffo not goal of the year but not even a hint of a free kick. The argument was that he dropped the ball in a tackle. He had two opponents touching him with one hand each, which I wouldn't consider a tackle, but some seem to like twi...

We're also delighted to announce that we have agreed a deal with Maguire's management to pay out the second year of his contract in potatoes and beans. Earlier today, the club met with the player and his agent at Cafe Greco to complete the formalities of the contract so we are also delighted to ann...

My favourite goal was Jarrod Waite's.

To dribble the ball around the man on the mark like that was clever. Never seen anything quite like that before.

Cats have made the right choice. Just watched On the Couch and they brought up this stat from the prelim last Friday night: Apparently for the 35 or so minutes Blake was on the field, Collingwood outscored the Cats by something like 48 to 17. King may not be setting the world alight at the moment bu...

1. GF Winner: Power from Port, it's more than a sport, it's a true Port Adelaide tradition!
2. Winning Margin: 33. Geelong will choke.
3. First Goal: Shaun Burgoyne
4. Norm Smith: Kane

I would move heaven and earth to get Brock McLean at the Saints. He had a woeful 2007 and was involved in a bit of fistycuffs over in Greece recently so Melbourne may even consider a trade. Power, pace, graft. I'd be all over it. and again, he's drinking and picking fights all over europe. sounds a...

It would be a massive gamble, the upside is huge though. Worst case scenario - Fev continues what he's done over the last few years, causes a rift between teammates, team unity is shattered, suspension after suspension follows. Best case scenario - Ross Lyon finds a way to get the best out of him, F...

the 20 touches in 6 games is a reflection of the use his coaches have made of him. He has basically been a BP/HBF/HFF/FP player and very rarely rotated through teh midfield where he would be expected to accumulate disposals. That part and even still, you can get 20 touches on an average day no matt...

It was injury rather than poor form that kept him out of the side for the better part of this year wasn't it?

I'd be hesitant to give up pick 9 for him but he can definitely play. As a goal-kicking midfielder he would slot into our side nicely.

Apparently the web programmers are only required to update the page every second Thursday from now on.

Every cent counts.

Did anyone else notice during the Brownlow when Bartel received three after one game, the camera focussed on Joel Selwood pumping his fists in the air?

No doubt that he's valuable taking marks on the wing, and such is his work ethic that he's unplayable at times... but Riewoldt is more valuable and most influential, like any other key forward, when he's kicking goals. But, would he have got the ball as a deep forward had we had no one playing the ...
